Advancements replacing NBT checks

Is it better for advancments to do NBT checks like SelectedItem or is it just as inefficient as the normal NBT checks?

It is less efficient to have advancements (or predicates, which most advancements use inline) for NBT checks than it is to do an nbt check in the target selector

Now it's marginal, and there's some cases where many would argue the convenience outweighs the cost, but it's gonna depend on your use-case.
