Can someone explain me how does minecraft light system works and what are the differences between sky light and block light, I've tried to read the wiki and I still don't understand anything

What do you mean what are the differences between light and light blocks?

Light blocks are just an invisible block that emits light, same as torches

I mean I can't explain the entire light system to you, but any given coordinate in a world has both a block light level and a sky light level. Minecraft differentiates whether the light is due to direct sky access (sky light), and also just tracks the block light level

This is primarily for differences in dimensions and the daylight cycle. This is why mobs don't spawn during the day, because any coordinate with direct sky access has a light level of 15

Whereas underground of course, the sky light level will be 0, but light can be emitted by other blocks like torches, so surrounding coordinates get a block light level

When setting the brightness of a display entity, should I just put the same light on both parametters?

You have to include both if you include them at all. You usually would probably just make them the same
