Warden is going to be my example, since I'm also wanting to detect one of its attacks anyway
Is there a way to detect when it uses its sonic boom attack?

i dont really know the proper way, but if we're talking workarounds i'd suggest doing like

execute store success $var .. run stopsound sonicboom sound
execute if $var = true run function example

example

playsound sonicboom sound
say 'woohoo warden attack detected with the clunky workaround method!!!'

Please note that you still might not immediately get a response since all helpers are human beings and volunteers (and also might be sleeping right now)

yeah afaik there would be no proper way unless the warden has an nbt for his attacks or smth
