To me patent doesn’t matter it matters how these companies use it for example warner bro could have struck warframe for its lich system but it didn’t either because they didn’t want to or they the lich system was different enough that warner bros didn’t see they had a case another example is Nintendo acting on their patent with the ball system which was absolutely ridiculous like our ancestors never used nets to capture animals and domesticate them
