You know you can actually block the entire denuvo installation with the right kind of lockdown software on a pc faronics deep freeze works great for that you basically install the entire system in a vm that gets deleted automatically on reboot which is great for games that all progress is saved server side but have really trash anti cheat that’s basically a root kit .

Something interesting I learned yesterday is that a root kit like denuvo can be reverse shelled giving the pc owner full access to the entire network behind the game so basically their hack root kit is a huge door into the hackers command systems.
I saw a video about that on YouTube where someone reverse scripted denuvo and basically had game master privileges on the entire server.
I bet they never thought their own surveillance system could do that to them

As someone that used to play a lot of games in high school there’s not actually any laws in any country that I’m aware of that make modding a game illegal a games company policy about something isn’t equal to an actual law.
Sure it’s obviously breaking terms of service but that’s about it and at least where I used to live unless you physically signed an agreement with pen and ink it wasn’t even legally binding.
Actually a lot of those are not legally binding because it doesn’t even have a legal electronic signature attached to it.

They have tried suing several people in the us but the case was thrown out so they re filed it in Japan and won there except the individual they won against isn’t under Japanese authority they are American citizens and that case was thrown out of federal court in the USA.
In fact if a foreign court sends you a notice to appear or a lawsuit outside your country of residence you really don’t even have to respond to it because it’s not actually enforceable unless it’s actually something covered by certain laws.
