I was having so much fun, man. On my first day, I died like, 4 times to that big chump...what was he called? You know the big guy who throws stuff at you from his trash can? Yeah, that guy, but that's only because I didn't do the main story to get sr weapons and went straight into exploration battles
The double jump and phantasia mode was exhilarating to me too. I loved it
I was having so much fun. The puzzles were 50 50, but ultimately I didn't care. My eyes also went wide as to how much this game rewarded me. I climb up a hill? I get gold nucleus. I climb down it? More gold nucleus.
I also challenged myself to get over all the hills in Astra without climbing, and I was able to pull that off

its very possible to add stuff in a game like nte in a way that benefits the player while expanding the world too
like new car's they add for npc's can also be player ones
if you do it right a bunch of small changes interconnected go a long way
i wouldnt be surprised if the side content ended up more extensive than the combat stuff eventually
