His "return" is just a portion of his life essence still left behind after the sealing, hence why you sort of fade away in Yukari/Aigis's arms at the end. Honestly, this may be for the best. Even half-hour chunks at a time is good. MyNameIsByf, the guy that does Destiny lore vids, sums up a ton of stuff in short amounts of time. So even half an hour is probably enough to cover the events of a single season of Destiny 1, or about two thirds of a Destiny 2 season
And trust me, Destiny seasons are meaty chunks of story. So much happens, from former enemies becoming like family to us from one simple act of kindness, to losing everything from one miscalculated battle
