Doesn't look p2w. All premium items so far are just skins and cosmetics etc. Being a KRPG, it's very grind-heavy but if you're used to ToF drop rates and a Warframe grinder mindset, you'll be fine

Missions are very fun as a party, basically as fun as running missions in Destiny and The Division 2 as a squad. Entirely playable solo albeit with moderate difficulty, or blaze it with a squad (matchmaking is enabled so you won't have to LFG unless you want)

Gameplay is mostly with guns. You only have two melee attacks: a powered one for high damage and guaranteed ragdoll, or an unpowered gun smack while the powered one charges

You also have 4 powers and a passive per character. So Viessa for a start can use ice powers to destabilise the enemy, or Bunny can use electric powers to control crowds and run fast. All powers have a cooldown and run on an energy meter

It's simple yet complex

Warframe for instance is a game that won't die for a looong time, and shouldn't die. Their story updates are slow as hell, but cohesive and builds massive arcs over the course of 1 or 2 years

Frankly, I haven't played a crappy enough game to say it warrants dying. Defiance just sucks but I'm only at mid game so I don't think I can speak on it all that much

warframe received overhaul, right ? from isntance based to open world ? maybe that somehow pull many new players and older one.

It still is largely linear maps, with the open world being a non-crucial element meant for insulated gameplay ecosystems (you farm materials exclusively found in that open world, to rank up with the faction of that open world, to build/craft/breed gear and companions that you can then use anywhere)

But yeah, Plains Of Eidolon, the first open world back in 2017, was a MASSIVE step for the game

As was The Duviri Paradox last year, which introduced a change to the new player experience (think New Light replacing Red War in Destiny) as well as a roguelite game mode where every run sets you up with different gear and modifiers

The gameplay loop is still the same tho. Do certain activities to obtain its exclusive gear and items etc, to be used anywhere else in the game
