#Dedicated Oil Storage on the Boat

A dedicated oil storage on the boat (hidden, integrated like the initial Diesel tank and battery) would be great, which you can fill with oil (for example if you don't like that "oil" whale - like me) which can be filled with 50k or 100k oil so you can refine it to Diesel or gasoline on the boat. Without eating up all the room you got for oil tanks.

That’s a great idea...
Especially if there are no plans to use the empty space in the bow hold. And also for adjusting the diesel refining yield to be closer to the average actual figure of 50%.

100k of oil... Lol.
The diesel tanks are 2k. You're asking for an oil tanker!

Yes exactly.

#

100k oil gives 50k diesel, the boat uses at full speed around 16k per hour. And constant travel back to the oil rig is just annoying tbh.

Honestly, I'd like it if we could spend some extra resources to build extra internal tanks. You can get decently far putting diesel tanks on the ceiling without looking bad, but at a certain point I'd be fully willing to spend three times the resources to build some internal diesel tanks (presumably you'd add things like batteries to this, but they take up so much less space that they're not really an issue, I think).

I keep mines along the side of the ship. Keeps the deck clear for operations. Gives you a bit more walking space along the sides. Keeps the boat off the docks so you can still use the ladders. Can land on the deck with the gyro (before you get the "extension").

#

New wall ports are a game changer!

#

Can bring fuel up from under the deck for the gyro too.

The only think that causes them to take damage is if you get in to a gun fight with a shark

I wanted to reply to this, and then had a small epiphany. With wall sockets it now makes total sense to build all the tanks in the hold, to protect them from damage and losing fuel. Outside then can be used for fortiholds which don't have that problem

So I've cleared my deck and done that with the fuel for the gyro, bringing it up from below, before I unlocked the helipad. I'm not sure I'd get 10x oil and 10x diesel tanks below deck. The single 'onboard' tank is no where near enough for the day to day ops.

I originally built my tanks under the hull and there wasn't much damage, but my fps totally tanked! 😂
