unable to even play the game anymore, i had an error similar to this only to get a GPU crash dump error, uninstalled, reinstalled and still getting it, i had switched over to the beta version after backing up my game, will attempt to roll it back but am unsure if somethings wrong

For clarification@timber heron is the game crashing on launch from steam or only when trying to load into a particular save youve got?

timber heron
#

no it is crashing when hitting the "Continue" or "Load Backup" button

sometimes i am able to start it. Then for some time its starting normally, but when i do not play for a longer period it shows this behaviour

stable creek
#

after that, use DDU to do a full uninstall of your gpu driver. then install the latest driver after

#

i have seen examples of this error previously - it turned out to be a RAM (hardware) fault

timber heron
#

okay i will do that thanks for now

#

By the way. Now it started without any Problem (i did not change anything)
The only thing i did differently is that i did not wait till the backup information in the window was loaded.

#

maybe the code needs to be surprised 😂

stable creek
timber heron
#

it is more than likely that its a hardware fault. My PC is not the newest 🙂

stable creek
#

you could investigate this further - power off the PC; unplug or flick the power supply switch at the back, then pull out one stick of RAM, power on the PC again and retry. if the PC fails to POST then you will know which stick of RAM is the problem straight away

timber heron
#

With only one RAM stick it works

what i dont understand is that the RAM works properly in every other case

#

There is no problem with my RAM:

Windows Memory diagnostic is not reporting anything

#

There has to be something different too. I will not remove one fully functioning RAM stick just because one game is not loading.....

ram is fine.
I tried some different settings for the GPU. It worked fine for few days now (other than some crashes while playing) and now the same issue starts again.
