What would be your solution to make it better @tawdry marsh ?

Just complaining about will not help to make it better

Hey there is many options. Sice its related to symulation. That us the main issue. Cheting physics here should be solution. That is the firstthink second is makin it hovering at one place. Now its almost impossible. And last most important wsad for moving l. Space for up, control for down, mouse to steer.

I dont write it as complain. Develipers must see that ee have a problem with that. They already knkw there is issue. They need to see that its serious

Gyrocopters works not according to the same principles as an Helicopter.
Gyrocopters require a short runway and no helicopter landing pad.
There are plenty of videos and data online.
... and that's exactly the problem here. caretaker_peeking
We have POIs made for a helicopter and not for gyrocopter.
For technical reasons, it is not possible to hover in place or take off or land vertically.
However, most of the new POIs require exactly that! caretaker_exclamation
Especially since these are all helicopter landing pads, a capital H inside a circle.
It's a sci-fi game, it would be nice if the developers could just offer a mix of both.
Remove the tail rotor or make it steerable, a Carecopter from the Future and everyone is happy.
You might as well just rename it "CARECOPTER" caretaker_love_hearts caretaker_love_hearts caretaker_love_hearts

We have GyroHeli ... NICCCEEEE (BETA Build 0.7.5.610670) caretaker_love_hearts caretaker_actually caretaker_flag_de
Much, much, much better, it still takes practice and a delicate touch, but it’s a very very good solution.
Kudos to the developers for coming up with a great solution and a very fast beta-patch !!! caretaker_pray teddies

It would be nice if we could brake horizontally. It would make the giant tubes far easier to fly inside of due to the general... over correctyness and... lack of ladder.

Or scrapper

What a creation, it's a unhinged flying bike/human blender but unbelievably it gets off the ground and actually FLIES.

Ok, so, after flying around a bit I feel like the gyrocopter is desperately in need of a "stability" button. The way it is right new expect us to be able to feel how the machine fly, but we can't. So we don't know if it tilts too much, if it goes backward or whatever. So if we could have something to stabilize vertically, or horizontally, that'd be great.

Moreover, the left and right tilts are useless: the impetus is too great and will destabilize the machine with no hope of getting it back flying normally. The gyro turns itself depending on the camera. The left and right tilt will have the gyro turn slightly too, but then it will try to "right" itself as per the camera orientation, sending the vehicle in a spiral of doom if the player keeps inserting inputs.

The gyrocopter is a handful to fly, but I've gotten pretty good at crash landing onto the deck of the boat or a helipad. I had mine sitting on the deck of the boat but it was in the way, so I dismantled it and BAM, it was like the copter exploded. My boat had instantly turned 90 degrees and sustained over 30% damage. The only thing I thought that maybe happened was that I had not removed the petrol cylinder booster before I dismantled it. Anyone else have this problem?
