when i clean up the directx cache it stay on the black screen and almost 100% cpu for some time.
If only the game would tell people that its doing that it would be nice, i have seen other game do that so you don't think the game as issue.

I run into this when my video drivers update. I’m assuming it’s generating some shader stuff which can take some time. I usually let it sit and it eventually loads. Then I immediately exit the game and restart it and it shows up really quickly like one would expect.

I had a black screen too but I use Nvidia Geforce Now so I could not do anything about install or updates,. However, it worked after I opened a random window Had the same issue today did the trick (I had wait 1/2 mins before the main menu appears) . Don't know if it could help you.

if anyones facing gpu related issues id highly recommend using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to comprehensively wipe your system of installed files/config and do a clean reinstall of the latest driver afterwards
