#Lazarus Station has outlets and internal storage like the boat does

running wires everywhere in lazarus is really time consuming and when something goes wrong, it requires checking all the extenders and wires across the whole complex since power needs to run to the basement and hall of humanity, and the easiest way is a "spine" from the roof that spreads everywhere. To get things neat, it requires more time since wires on the floor can easily be disconnected or the button pressed when walking over them.

I think lazarus should have internal storage like the boat with outlets to access them, its a huge complex so it could easily have storage inside. It could also make rooms without passthroughs useful like the one above the front entrance useful without having to run wires through an open doorway or running wires into awkward spots.

It would open up more parts of lazarus to be useful instead of just the roof/hall/basement when there are more rooms than just that.

if lazarus has storage for other things like methane, the 2nd bioforge becomes way easier to install than running a gas pipe to the dock when there are no gas passthroughs.

lazarus is basically 2nd home after the boat, so maybe it should get the boat treatment too.

This might cut down on the frustrations around lazarus from newcomers too. Newcomers reach lazarus relatively early, and are not prepared by the time they grow their first human and the seed dies from water or power issues. This might cut down on the frustration from them as well because i remember the frustration when i first started the game and ran into lazarus issues that required a lot of investment to fix that the main quest didnt prepare me for but now has to fix on a time limit before the seeds die.

As a newcomer I can approve- I got stressed out when I realised seeds have a timer... I spent quite a bit of time just putting the cables through the complex (at the time I hadn't memorized the layout of it, so ended up spending way more time than I should've)

#

I initially thought electricity is shared all across the complex via the power grid, not to mention the fact I hadn't had any fresh water set up... This was such a rollercoaster KEKW but in the end managed to save the seed with around 6 minutes left

the fresh water i set up wasnt enough and it just 1 seed i was growing. the power started acting weird because balance mode (the default) caused power to go forward and backward and not know what to do. I had to reload a save and redo my whole grid to make it 1 directional to make sure the seed didnt die. There really should be a quest to have the bare minimum for 1 human before you go to the seed vault.

Well, let us just ask to place a lazarus rack at the exodus station next okay? And even have Prometheus 200 meters away. Come on, don;t you see it is the entire setting of this game? 🙄
let us ask for cables that reaches 100m and so on. </sarcasm>

Build water tanks and batteries right next to the pods, that way you have plenty of time to go explore why they aren't getting refilled if a connector does break

thats my current set up after i learned the painful lesson early in the game which should be communicated to new players, but that still doesnt fix 90% of lazarus being dead weight unless you spend a lot of time dragging wires through open doors just for it to still be useless because everything is on the roof, the center hall, or the dock. even the cafeteria they set up with the food machine has no real point so it should be tossed into the main hall. once the set pieces of fighting through lazarus is done, its just a giant brick of wasted space hogging FPS without offering anything in return. honestly, the design is pretty bad compared to exodus station or even black vein.

black vein is nice and compact, exodus is excusable you dont want everything too close to the big fireball. but the rest, its show pieces, like none of prometheus makes sense, but it looks impressive, and is perhaps the decaying remnants of a society that was too focussed on form over function
