#Bugs and bugs you don't test your game??

This cable mess is infuriating. 🤮
Many and many times I must reconnect the cables / hoses. Exit the game and reload, then it works. 🤦

Then if I kill a shark and cut it up with the saw, everything falls into the water and the Caretaker doesn't automatically collect anything anymore??? Are you serious?!

Or the boat goes full speed ahead without being able to slow down. Exit the game and reload, then it works. 🤦

You can't build things even though you have the resources. Exit the game and reload, then it works. 🤦

Really who checks the updates before you release them to your beta tester community?
Is it your cleaning lady???

Sorry, but that’s totally unacceptable!! It’s just so annoying having to untangle all the cables every single time. I’m not the only one! 👎

Bugs and bugs you don't test your game??

I was having the same issue. Decided the best way to test was to start fresh. No more issues with cables.

Also for the shark the caretaker do collect some but a bit get scattered around you and not really far, like less than 15m.

#

The not being able to build stuff is weird, i still haven't got that issue and i have no idea how it happen and why.

#

Also a Beta is for finding bug...

If you're unable to clip, close the game and restart.

Definitely frustrating for sure. 😡
In a strange way I sort of like the cables bugging out. 🤪🤔
I done motor mechanics many moons ago, I loved the electrical side of things too. Other engineering type things too but health issues saw me change careers and take a desk job. Love the desk job.
The cables bugging out reminds me of when I was young and fit and lets me still indulge in engineering type stuff I can no longer do.
The maintenance, whilst crazy high and can do with a big slow down, appeals to me too.

Honestly for me the only bug I had was the cables and that was fixed today. Thanks!

On a return trip to Lazarus after going to Exodus to launch the Habitat Committee members, I don't see anything disconnected. And this is after a save/exit for the night and loading back at Exodus before returning to Lazarus

I don’t know if I’d say it’s completely fixed, but definitely much better than it’s ever been.

I say not completely fixed as I’ve disassembled a few things and sometimes the cables don’t retract or fall. It’s kinda funny seeing the cable for a solar panel or wind turbine hanging in mid air as if plugged into an invisible one.

@earnest elbow you bought an early access game and make demands like it was announced to be at least v1.0 - you are being unfair towards the devs writing such a post...

The game has been out since November 6, 2025. So far, it’s practically burning up my CPU.

How is it possible that when I play other games, my CPU doesn’t even reach 70 degrees? Here, my CPU is at almost 85 degrees!!! So don’t go around saying it’s unfair! People are complaining. And for once, get this straight: before you add new content, the game should be running smoothly 95% of the time and not make the CPU overheat and then have to deal with pointless bugs on top of that. 85 degresse pfffffzzz 🤦🤦🤦

It's early access man, chill out. Also the sharks have always dropped their loot in the water, though in this update it's only happened once.

Don't talk nonsense. Wherever the game came out, I get all the loot from the sharks. Not now.

I've got to agree with Thor. If your CPU is overheating because of this game, you need to address the cooling situation in your computer. You just happen to be playing an Early Access game, where optimization hasn't come yet, that is actually pushing your hardware to those limits touted by AMD/Intel. Those manufacturers also expect you to provide proper cooling while at those top limits. If you're overheating, then you're not.... Those other games you're playing aren't pushing your hardware like this one does. It is just that simple...

Sorry you guys are writing such nonsense. I have a water cooling system. Why don't you do a survey to see how many people are having CPU issues? ☝️

It's weird that the temperature stays low in other games.

Caretaker is in the early access phase and hasn't been fully optimized yet. That's why it's overheating very simple and fact. You understand this?

great attitude, good luck getting help

The cope here is insane (it's early access blah blah). if you ask €30,- for a game it should not run like complete dogshit on descend hardware, no amount of copium gonna change my opinion.

Game runs just fine for me. Minus known performance issues around particle physics that are all public (like this discord) that I read about before purchasing an early access game….

#

Sorry you’re mad cause you can’t read I guess?

Im also finding im not getting any aluminium

So i can't open the hanger door or takes forever because not enough power

I want to love this game but fix this lol

Connect the three batteries in series with the rooftop power and then connect to the building

So, can we close this Post than????

i think its more a disapointment that a EA Game acts like an EA game than Bug Rport. any other discussions about problems of "how to get things work" can be done in the #general channel pls.
