Yes, but it still takes time to charge vs using the small batteries like magazines on the rifle with instant usability

Honestly? It's REALLY hard to deplete a weapon magazine faster than you can recharge it, and without running out of juice. You can do it, especially if you plug into the grid with med batteries, but you have to keep firing for a WHILE.
