Power is connected and was working but after falling off the top platform and swimming back, I can't call the elevator back down.
Doesn't appear to be another way up.

#Power On but Off - Exodus
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If reloading doesn't turn it back on, sometimes elevators need slightly more power to work. Some elevators are on different circuits than buildings. Odd, but true.
I shut down my system, went out and touched the grass
When I restarted and loaded up, the power was back.
So I don't know.
The grass is Magic ?
After a night cycle it's dead again ?
no long cables, similar to your pic
Happens to me all the time. Save, exit game and load that save, power is back on. Also happened in control room for me.
and another question: do you have a DONK forklift sitting around? We did see some power issues from that ๐
I donโt use it
I havenโt found it useful for anything
If you got a video on how to use the dump man, Iโd be interested to see it
OK, in this case, please upload your save and I can take alook to see if I can spot any issues that can be resolved ๐

Also having to subscribe to your channel to see the OP original post is a wrong move

wdym please?
he was talking about Bendacat
ahhh I see
I clicked on the video of @fierce sigil and it said i had to subsscribe to watch it
yeah thats not great, I didnt watch the video, I seen the problem before ๐
i used other words asking sorry for those in the chat, but get the comment automatically banned ๐
yeah the auto-mod doesnt like the ๐ฉ
๐
that wasn't intentional
I can only assume the needing to subscribe is something to do with Australia's new "Policing the internet LAWS"
because we have a weak PM. I apologise for him being a POS.
Here it is on Youtube -> https://youtu.be/2kulydkIJrU
Not intended to be a plug.
Twitch don't appear to have a setting I can change.
Let me know if the YT link is the same.
I am not monetised on YT
As i said that happen to me once, didnt know what it was, but went to the right column at the side of the rocket, you can go up by there and checking back the lift worked and that section had power again. I reported it on steam at the time
I appear to have quick saved over it.
|When I return I'll try and replicate
I join the bandwagon on this. Dock is powered. Arrival hall has lights and the elevator won't do (anymore). I hope to have power back after going back into the game. But the question of long power cables makes me wonder if those cause issues and why?
First of all: How long is long? And where is a limit (if any at all). And then I am wondering that Lazarus for example works with the concept of long power lines. Without them you can't power up the whole building. So how can this be an issue somewhere else on the map?
PS: The computer at Launch Control also claims "no power". I have connected Launch Control from Default Power (TeeHill's picture). The switch at Launch Control turns green and I can charge myself with the cable there. So power is there. Why doesn't the comp recognise it? #strange
I'll give an update after returning from a savegame ๐
Distance is the issue
things only work so far away from the Caretaker..... lets say you put a battery and then run a 1km cable along connectors, by the time you are at the end of the cable, the battery system has unloaded/stopped
similar happens at Exodus
Lazarus is nowhere near as large as Exodus
I will draw it in paint
Thanks for the explanation (nice Caretaker sketch in the picture ;-)).
My situation: I stand next to the power plug at Launch Control (250m+ cable from default spot). The main switch recognises power and I can charge the Caretaker with it there. Only the Launch Control computer says "no power". What is it I don't see here? Are there components in the game that stick more to the simulation radius (a restricted "simulation bubble" sounds reasonable) than others?
I dont know the exact details of how the simulation bubble works but I would assume its quite basic in the sense of everything outside the bubble is not simulated
ALl I'd say is try not to fight the sim bubble, to make life easy place power gen and storage at the far edges without long cables connecting them
all you need at dock and launch control is 1 medium battery and 1 tier3 solar
youre only powering the lights elevator and PECO

maybe as we go down the roadmap the sim bubble situation is improved, maybe it gets bigger... but for now, work with it rather than around it ๐
Thanks again for explaining. Your work and support here is much apprechiated ๐
Hello again, the latest update (Update 02) fixed the/my problem. "Power On" on both the arrival hall computer and the lift. Hurray! ๐ฅณ
Still facing the problem here. Only since I made it all the way to the main platform and main power station: each time I return to the terminal and my boat, there is no power, although everything is connected. A backup, log-out, and log-in resolves the issue until next time. Also just came back to a crater in my boat and boat health down to 55% - not sure what happened...
Boat at 55%-59% is a sure sign or a mine impact. They seem to move now post update 02.
As far as your power; did you make 3 separate power stations or are they all connected together?
Exodus itself can go beyond the 500m loading point between the entrance and Mission Control. 3 separate power stations for each area is more or less required to keep stuff powered up when you travel across exodus.
