Boat is listing slightly

My boat has started listing slightly and I don't know for how long as I only just now noticed during a rebuild in Sanctuary. Screenshot shows perfectly upright build grid vs. the boat's supposedly vertical doorways.

Normally I wouldn't care for that little of a tilt, but I want to build out the storage in the lower front deck and need good alignment for that.

I've already gone and removed loose objects from the boat, and left Sanctuary for a few meters to see if anything was floaty. A fuel extender was floaty, removed it and replaced, is good now. Boat still lists.

So, I do see the list you're talking about. It could be the solar panels on the right side, but I doubt it. You have a pretty clean build, though I imagine if you hook up all of those LumiMins the cabling could get pretty tricky. But I do see one issue that you'll want to take care of asap and is more likely to be the reason for the list. Clipping. Even if it isn't causing a problem right now, it is a proverbial "ticking timebomb". While they're clipping like this, it will cause repeated collisions, which will eat up processing power, but (more importantly) they'll eventually detach from the boat and pin it in place. Specifically, it's the diesel tanks in the cargo hold shown here (all of them, not just these specific spots).

What you want is something like what you have as a great example of what's best that's right upstairs. Plenty of breathing room for the tanks, so they don't collide. You can even go closer than this, but you want to insure there is nothing at all overlapping.

Nothing detached when I loaded into your boat, but you're going to be rolling the dice on that with every load if it isn't changed. 🫤

A bit, yeah. They're squeezed into the cargo hold like tetris, so you'll probably have to sacrifice a tank in there. On the bright side, you have a lot of room on your deck and you could put a couple up there if you really want the extra fuel storage.

deck is for improptu machine setups, but yes, I guess one or two tanks up there wouldn't hurt too much

It is unfortunately not always visible as clearly to me whether something is clipping, since my settings are really low and I have a lot of artifacts 😅

It can be tough to line them up really closely to one another even in the sanctuary docks, unfortunately. That is definitely the best place to build things without any motion interfering with placement. You did a great job on the tanks in room on the main floor, though. I don't think you'll have any issues with those.

There was no space for an additional tank, so no point in getting it super tight 😅

I saw another build with diesel tanks on the roof even. They're low enough that you can still get through hangar doors and probably more useful than those LumiMins

LumiMins are decoration. I tried to wire them up, but it was horrible. Still, I like the look.

Yeah, it would be nice if they could be daisy chained or hooked together in a way that was more aesthetically pleasing. Heheh

Being able to daisy chain the small panels would be so nice. In fact, there's a lot of the items that could benefit from daisy chaining. That would save a bunch of connectors in most builds.
