#Power loss on Exodus entrance

disconnect. save reload and reconnect
did you send up the rocket? after that you need a new pod in proximity (is at least my experience)
Disconnect was good tip!
Now the elevator inside the control center hangs in upper position 🙁
happened to me.. fixes itself.
There is a side dock on Exodus with a ladder. You can use it to go back up to the platform, and come back to the upper elevator.
I'm on the side dock. Every thing is fine, exept the elevator on mission control center. He's in upstairs position and all the known workaround dosn't help.
you can try to build something to get over there, from outside, example i used lumi max
Here is the example, and it works then👍 it works try it
I posted a bug issue about this. If I go to the farthest part of exodus (some kind of command center) when I go back to main entrance the elevator doesn't work, external lights turn off and the ship's mooring lines get loose. Every time. It's a weird bug.
If I save and load back the elevator works again but ship's mooring line need to be taken back to dock.
Were you, by chance, powering it from your boat?
It can happen regardless, but seems more common when powered by the boat
Things seem to despawn (or at least stop calculating) at roughly 200m or so....
When you cross all the way from the front building to the control, the boat (or even your other power source) can stop being registered by the game. Coming back, just the general weirdness, it spawns in, but doesn't register the power to the elevator.
The general solution is simply save and reload.... Often times, people recommend disconnecting your power to the building first, THEN save and reload.
Another thing... I can't tell you that this is a solution, but as someone who's never had that bug myself, my main entrance is powered by a dedicated solar-panel/battery, and the solar panel is on the roof of the power station itself. Purely happenstance, but I feel like maybe this forces things to load at the same time, hence I don't ever have that problem.
No all power in Exodus I'm using Solar Panels (the type 3) and Typhoon wind turbine (Type 3) + Battery. I think is some bug because the mooring line snaps every time and it has no reason to be related to power.
Your'e absolutely right abotu the mooring lines. That one is a bit strange, because mooring lines coming unnapped is(was) a known issue - but was associated with high waves, and was addressed in a previous patch. With Exodus being really calm, generally speaking, that shouldn't be happeneing, 💯
Weird bug. 😆
same, i came back to my ship at exodus, half of my stuff was in the drink,'sea' and my ship had dismoored itself.
Yeah, it's because (we think) the ship and entrance gets despawned due to distance.
You can jump down the elevator shaft, it's not much of a fall. Or climb down the ladder and jump off the roof. Neither hurts you.
@pseudo dust oh I bet you’re right. Same thing just happened to me, red lights everywhere. That’s a huge bug that needs to be fixed.
Just want to add to this as I came here to report this bug too. I have a huge issue with the Exodus Station. The bug is related to distance. If I dock to the main entrance and save at that spot in the boat and reload, anything from the far side of the station will be locked to power off, except for anything buildable. If I save and reload from the center, both ends work just find and again if I save and reload from the far side, the main entrance is locked to power off. Ive learned to just work around it, but it shouldn't be happening. Hopefully this isn't something unique to my save file and can be fixed.
The place is just too big. Multiple chunks and loading does not properly work
when player changes between them.
You cannot supply power from one end and make the other end receive it reliably.
Often have to reload the game at the other end to make (local) power work.
Remote power is not working at all there.
Hitting this as well.
Perhaps it's worth moving the launch control pier to make a L shaped base instead, swapping it with the helipad pier.
They better fix their chunk loading logic.
The bug WAS NOT fixed. DAMN! If we go to the farthest part of Exodus (the command center I guess) AND come back to the main entrance its exterior lights turn off and the DAMN mooring lines snap loose. 😠 🤬
I always use the anker to fix my boat on a dock. I never used the mooring lines
agreed i learned this the hard way, i only use the moorings at the start, the further in, the worse it gets,
