I heard someone suggest this in a Jack P stream, how about if we could repair and use the little robots you find around, maybe the flying ones could be used to scout out areas before going in and the sweethearts could be used to get inside small tubes to gather resources that we wouldn't be able to usually get.
There would need to be a range limit on them to stop people flying them too far but I think they would be a good addition, maybe give them a small battery level that needs recharging and a light carry weight for the sweetheart to stop them doing all the carrying for you.
