#No signal Black Screen

try deleting the shader cache file
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Voyage\Saved\Voyage_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache
(if it exists)
You can also try deleting the config file(s) :
C:\Users\ericg\AppData\Local\Voyage\Saved\Config\Windows\*.ini
and lastly, you can try switching to the open beta branch of the game from steam game properties -> betas tab
how do i find those files via steam my save locations are diffrent and i dont want to struggle through
i found it π retrying to play now
trying this now other 2 didnt work if this doesn't work (and it should only be a temp fix) will u all be fixing the need for me to fully restart my PC like i get 0 signal and have to reboot it.
if we had some detailed information it would help for sure. PC specs, etc
sure sec!
SSD is for my OS HDD is storage / where the game is saved
I will keep u posted but the beta seems to be stablizing it as I havent crashed as i did booting non beta.
great π
I stand corrected
I feel like the 2.8ghz and/or the hdd might be the cause
No other game does this subnautica heavy minecraft packs games likes urs
they are no longer or are not in early access either, we'll continue optimizing the game as development continues
I suggest trying it on ssd if you have space for it
my SSD does not have remotly enough space for TLC its meant purely for the OS
remove the demo and reinstall the main game
demo is removed but the game was installed along side the demo so i will try reininstalling thank you!
i hope it works for you
Didn't:/
Run as admin?
the game? it doesnt give me the option to do that
will this help? for a tech guy I am slightly lost lol
@strange quartz would dxdiag logs help you ? i really wanna play :/
im not sure if it would, but you can post it if you want
I would suggest playing through geforce now, but that's extra money
can i dm you it id rather not share with the whole chat π
Im a computer tech so Ill help as much as i can, checking the files is a good step, lets see how it works after
it said alls good in that and my directx is valid (computers are my specialty and this is the first time ive had to ever reboot my pc due to a game)
ive NEVER had an issue like that, could something else be the cause?
no idea and idk how to check this is beyond my level of knowing lol
run as admin, take not of any issues or errors
how do i do that as i said it wont allow admin run just "open"
right clikc the game icon and select run as admin
@strange quartz i only added u so it would let me dm/send u that u can reply here now just avoid sharing any details that could give people my PCs ID (safety messures lmao)
please read my msgs instead of repeating buddy π i said it wont let me (yes ive checked the other tabs)
should have that option, the other guy wants to help so ill dip out, and i tried replying once but discord is being glitchy

he would def know more about the game
it might be bios related, so I would update it
his CPU is a 10900K, not 11900K
"A black screen during gaming with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor can stem from several potential causes, though the issue is often not directly with the CPU itself. One known cause is a problematic BIOS update for 10th generation Intel chipsets, which can lead to instability under load, including black screens during gaming or benchmarking.
Rolling back to a previous, stable BIOS version has resolved similar issues for users experiencing crashes after a BIOS update."
"Power delivery issues can also contribute. Although the user has already upgraded to a 1000W PSU, ensuring the power supply is stable and properly connected is essential. Additionally, checking the motherboard's power settings in BIOS, such as disabling features like UPLS or adjusting power states, may help prevent instability."
"Another possible cause is memory-related instability. The i9-10900K's integrated memory controller (IMC) may struggle with high-speed RAM configurations, especially when running four sticks at speeds above 3200 MHz.
If the system is overclocked or running XMP profiles at high speeds, reducing the RAM speed to default (2133 MHz) or lowering the XMP profile can help stabilize the system."
"Lastly, software and driver conflicts, particularly with GPU drivers, can cause black screens. For example, a recent game update for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was found to crash due to a conflict with DLSS-related files in the Nvidia driver, specifically the sl.pcl.dll file.
While this is not directly related to the i9-10900K, it highlights that driver and software issues can manifest as black screens during gaming. Using tools like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to clean install drivers, especially for Nvidia GPUs, can resolve such conflicts."
How do I fix it please help this much is beyond me updating bios took me a hot minute for a older rig let alone newer
You should find a technician to help you then, I can't help from my end
π @pseudo cradle yo now its ur speciality i do not have the mental power rn to do all this can u break it down where i can make sense of it and for anyone else having this issue who sees this?
ok, before messing with the BIOS because if something goes wrong with that, your machine will be bricked (dead, get a new one) for now focus on simple fixes, you removed the demo, checked the game files, reinstalled the game from scratch, did you update your maschine? what windows are you running?
check dms ^^
ok, updated the drivers, updates windows, removed extra software, enabled COU cores, found and enabled the TPM, game still crashes a few minutes into gameplay, frozen screen and PC fans speeding up...something is very wrong
@strange quartz it is indeed the game I have fully reset my system losing stuff i needed so please patch it as this wasnt a problem prior to the most recent update to the game
Check if the pipeline file exists thats mentioned in #troubleshooting. If it doesnt, you will need to force the game to generate it
okay moment
Any luck
You can just sit in the menu or try changing antialiasing a few times. Not 100% sure what forces it
it works
No more crashing?
beta branch and i had to run to the save station at the get
made it to relay
works out now so it's something to due with the main version of the game beta is fixed and working for me @pseudo cradle @strange quartz @simple merlin
thats awesome to hear
