try deleting the shader cache file
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Voyage\Saved\Voyage_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache

#

(if it exists)

#

You can also try deleting the config file(s) :
C:\Users\ericg\AppData\Local\Voyage\Saved\Config\Windows\*.ini

#

and lastly, you can try switching to the open beta branch of the game from steam game properties -> betas tab

how do i find those files via steam my save locations are diffrent and i dont want to struggle through

I feel like the 2.8ghz and/or the hdd might be the cause

distant basin
strange quartz
#

they are no longer or are not in early access either, we'll continue optimizing the game as development continues
I suggest trying it on ssd if you have space for it

he would def know more about the game

strange quartz

it might be bios related, so I would update it

"A black screen during gaming with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor can stem from several potential causes, though the issue is often not directly with the CPU itself. One known cause is a problematic BIOS update for 10th generation Intel chipsets, which can lead to instability under load, including black screens during gaming or benchmarking.
Rolling back to a previous, stable BIOS version has resolved similar issues for users experiencing crashes after a BIOS update."

#

"Power delivery issues can also contribute. Although the user has already upgraded to a 1000W PSU, ensuring the power supply is stable and properly connected is essential. Additionally, checking the motherboard's power settings in BIOS, such as disabling features like UPLS or adjusting power states, may help prevent instability."

#

"Another possible cause is memory-related instability. The i9-10900K's integrated memory controller (IMC) may struggle with high-speed RAM configurations, especially when running four sticks at speeds above 3200 MHz.
If the system is overclocked or running XMP profiles at high speeds, reducing the RAM speed to default (2133 MHz) or lowering the XMP profile can help stabilize the system."

#

"Lastly, software and driver conflicts, particularly with GPU drivers, can cause black screens. For example, a recent game update for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was found to crash due to a conflict with DLSS-related files in the Nvidia driver, specifically the sl.pcl.dll file.
While this is not directly related to the i9-10900K, it highlights that driver and software issues can manifest as black screens during gaming. Using tools like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to clean install drivers, especially for Nvidia GPUs, can resolve such conflicts."

How do I fix it please help this much is beyond me updating bios took me a hot minute for a older rig let alone newer

strange quartz
#

You should find a technician to help you then, I can't help from my end

distant basin
#

πŸ˜‚ @pseudo cradle yo now its ur speciality i do not have the mental power rn to do all this can u break it down where i can make sense of it and for anyone else having this issue who sees this?

pseudo cradle
#

ok, before messing with the BIOS because if something goes wrong with that, your machine will be bricked (dead, get a new one) for now focus on simple fixes, you removed the demo, checked the game files, reinstalled the game from scratch, did you update your maschine? what windows are you running?

pseudo cradle
#

ok, updated the drivers, updates windows, removed extra software, enabled COU cores, found and enabled the TPM, game still crashes a few minutes into gameplay, frozen screen and PC fans speeding up...something is very wrong

distant basin
#

@strange quartz it is indeed the game I have fully reset my system losing stuff i needed so please patch it as this wasnt a problem prior to the most recent update to the game

You can just sit in the menu or try changing antialiasing a few times. Not 100% sure what forces it
