#Quantum Storage for late-game

I would like to suggest "Quantum Storage" as an absolutely late-game skill item.

It's the size and weight of a Durapack, but it's not really a crate, but rather, a "portal" to the storage. All the contents are in a "quantum flux" so not in-phase with the Caretaker's time-space, thus it has the mass of the box/portal, rather than the mass of the box + content, so does not add to the weight on the boat.

I propose the downsides would be: a) expensive as all heck; b) contents lost if it is destroyed or dismantled with contents still inside. Maybe a limit of 500kg, just to put some kind of limit on it. I'm also not not sure about the damage mechanisms in the game due to enemy onslaught, but it seems those are already part of the game, as I've seen the "slugs" get next to tanks, for example, and the tanks will take some damage.

For myself, as a player who absolutely must take/recycle/keep everything not bolted down, then having a late-game storage methodology to stash away all my loot would be grand!

Almost seems too futuristic in my opinion. But I need to progress further in the game prior to fully comment.

I was gonna suggest this same thing since we have stuff like the mentioned quantum duplicator and also the entanglement lens. The game has a very rare material called Quantum crystals which could definitely be used more in crafting.

I came here to suggest exactly this. I agree with it needing some exotic resources to make, and so being quite late game. Or just give us something interesting to do with Copper and Polyurethane!

Agreed. There is a path for this type of coding I'm thinking? I think this is an interesting suggestion to say the least and to add my vote for this too. caretaker_love_hearts
