A little late to the convo, but I currently work in the horse racing industry in North America. So if this were to launch I'd be down to help out, but it'll be A LOT to track
It goes back to only 1991 in NA, but here is a resource that'll be useful if this does end up getting pushed in the a lab project. Has all the NA historical data, pages for horses, jockeys, etc., and other general info

I mean, just because football for example is massive doesn't mean your feelings about the amount of work for horse racing are invalid
on average it probably is still a big chunk of work compared to many other wikis that are being proposed

depending on the region and how many records there may be, it can be on F1 level of work, horse racing is really old
