The Finals, while it doesnt have an esports scene yet, is a fascinating game to keep track of. Its a team based FPS that is arena based, all buildings are destructable and teams compete to complete objectives to win the match. Objective can be cashing out a safe, escorting a platform, etc. Teams and game modes are either 5v5, or 3v3v3

Could be a really good game info candidate, and has good potential to be an esports title

the finals esports is in a bit of an interesting state, like late 2000s TF2
embark said there wouldn't be esports they themselves would support, but there already has been one off tournaments afaik? i think we can expect some fully fledged community run tournament circuits and stuff if it goes the way of TF2, or maybe it evolves into something bigger..

I am not sure what the minimum requirements are for a The Finals wiki but I would be surprised if we do not meet it. ProHubs had a >$2000 prize pool and was fully broadcast.

A problem right now is access to written records of the two main finished tournaments: some of Breakout's tournament pages on start.gg return some 404s and Prohubs.TF curently only displays a next season 'coming soon' screen, whereas prior it had every bracket and game visible. However reaching out to both tournament organisers is an easy job, both are nice and cooperative, and the info could be shared very quickly.

VODs have been saved to Youtube too so that would make for easy cross referencing if needed.

Most of the wikis have 5 player in the team so this template is setup to 5 by default

Someone from employee might answers you how to deal with this in the future, but you can force 3 player card with

Yeah notability guidelines doesn't really need to follow specific wiki. They are mostly made to make it easier for editors. Some wikis are less strict and some more.
This really depends on multiple factors. Number of editors, frequence of tournaments etc...

Yeah this is really grey area I would most likely suggest changing this policy as this might be unclear what is allowed and what not.
Imo I usually refuse AI generated images and usually allow images which were inspired by AI, but recreated by a human.

Don't take my word for it, but iirc then its usually okay and its used under |license=fairuselogo except if logo has real person on it which we would need permission or if logo was selled under specific condition like. "can't be used commercially" which liquipedia is commericial because of ADs

sometimes people buy logo (license to use that logo), but this license is usually just for them and therefore we can't use that logo.

of course its almost impossible to check all logos which have been upload if they are used correctly

There's quite a lot of money to be earned in the Saudi ran circuits, so however teams can get there, they probably will. It's the reality of the massive gaming industry recession.

From what I could tell, Sign's overwatch roster was basically ran and managed by NTMR, but funded by Sign.

Anything beyond that deal and EWC stuff I really do think it's safe to assume is separate.

Don't think we really have a written page; but there's some general things to try and follow:

• Remove any clan tags they might have in their IGN
• Remove any social links (E.g things like YT/TTV)
• Usually remove other things that aren't part of their "clean nickname", e.g if someones usual "clean" display name on socials would be Rain, but then has to use stuff like rainfps, rainwastaken, rain123 etc, you'd still just put it as Rain on the wiki if that makes sense. It's a bit more case-by-case, cause you'd need to obviously know their standard

Heya; wanted to come out with a quick update for the Finals as a lab wiki ^^

We're likely seeing this for our next promotion, granted we're hopefully exporting #1212871909520183297 somewhere this sprint, we'll see if the finals can follow suit after that, and hopefully aim to be out before the major.

Maybe some small suggestions to work on in the meantime:
Maybe having a page for the partnered(?) teams overview, and feature their skins in a gallery on teampages. The overview page providing some more information from whats known what it all entails would also be good.

Alliance

• we're restoring 250 points (50%) to them for Playday 4, as we were overly harsh with our original penalty
• 50% of their score from Playday 5 is removed (196 -> 98) for unsportsmanlike conduct

Emerald Apes

• 10% of their score from Playday 5 has been removed for unsportsmanlike conduct (497 -> 448)

Ape Aura

• have lost 100 points from their overall total as penalty for a substitute outside of the approved window
