Some phobie variants are justified, like the heavo, droney & boom lines, but for most of them, using the same design just feels wrong to me, especially if they have very different abilities. For example, I hate the haphe variants, they have nothing similar with him, but have the same design. It just feels short-cutted. This goes for giggles and badsheep as they dont look different enough imo even if they work similarly to bo and sheeping gas, atleast have bad sheep be fatter or have more wool or smth. I think Vexy is a good variant, cool, different design reflective of its different abilities. Im also ticked off by sulky having the same ability as grimes, but not even being that different in terms of key cost, whats the point of him?. Besides that, amzing designing work for everything, this is just a nitpick, and i get that its hard to make new models in to making a new phobie each time.
#Am I the only one that doesnt like phobie variants ?

It's a cost-cutting measure. Some of the variants are better than others though, for sure. I'd love to see touch-ups to help differentiate them more.
Some variants I do admit are lazy as furk and are just recolors with the same sounds but with a filter, but others like the sneers, the heavos and Buzzkill, Chuck, Hi-five are peak
I agree and I'd add animations as well. Octo Naughty's animations just don't fit Octo Buddy.
Sulky is 3 keys.
Grimes is 4.
Grimes also has
yeah ig, it just feels like an ultra rare ability yk, and i feel it plays only marginally differently even if it doesnt have that kind of movement. Correct me if i am wrong tho, im not always right with these things
Nah you're kind of right. Or at least Grimes should have a cooler ability. Like heal as well when it kills.
I'm actually going to talk about this. Like redesigning them. Though I am not an artist or have had my experience in editing I'll still try otherwise. Maybe you guys will help me critique and analyze XD
