Players would just use this to grind new accounts and get the Phobies they want on their main account. Or at least that's what I would do.

Any form of trade system would be absolutely catastrophic for game balance.

Some phobies as of now suck by design (Balance changes when), and they are found in all rarities.
If you WERE able to trade, what happens if a high ranking player trades a low ranking player? What about the levels? What about people who scam others with terrible phobies for good ones? What about the starters? What about alt accounts?

IN MY OPINION there are far too many issues with trading. Even if it was just for dupes, the same issues would arise.

Even worse!
People would trade everything else for the meta, games would get stale, and then you've ruined the game! Congrats!

Not to mention you didn't even address levels properly.
What happens if I trade a level 13 for a new phobie, then back? Where did the levels go? People will unintentionally waste their Time and effort when trying out phobies to see if they like them, and if they regret, they're f#cked.

Go watch top player games, and your collection will be filled to the brim in minutes.

I get what you were going for, but this would be a terrible implementation. Both for game balance, company profits, and overall game enjoyment.

Phobies are Phobies, not trading chips.

I think this kind of approach would lose the game a lot of money, personally.
