Only 3 exist.
Aside from Gami’s 189, there’s 0x-Parzival - noun 358 who’s in Gnars server but not verified yet, and Patricio from POAP - noun 376.
But we technically have 2 votes already with nouns 189 and 374, plus I’m on nouncil which has 13+ votes and I work with others that support us.

We already successfully received 69 ETH with our first proposal (https://nouns.wtf/vote/51). None of which has been spent yet. Since our purpose is to sponsor athlete travel, let's first focus on building out our team of Nouns Athletes – I'll be doing some proposals today, that get Dave, Kevin, Ashanti, Joe and Treyven their first payments, with a full onboarding experience for Travala and Bitrefill (where they can send ETH to be stored as USD credits that can be used later on flights, accommodation, etc).

As you know, I love this idea.
And because I'm biased to both communities in this case, I'm totally down for Gnars Voting or Noun O' Clock voting.

For anyone that doesn't know, I'm a founder of the NOC show and core member of the team. Full disclosure.

I think if delegated to Noun O' Clock and we embrace more of a cross community vibe, it could be really cool. It's all about the nounish culture and it's gnarly being able to vote as a community.

Less admin in Gnars discord if Noun O Clock delegation too, as the NOC team will handle all the voting announcements and execution.

BUT

If we keep it internally to Gnars, then we get a more concentrated vote that is likely in the interests of this niche community. But I'm not sure how different the results will be in practise.

So for example, if the nouns dao is voting on the color orange or blue. We, the gnars, would have our own little vote on how your noun 189 should vote?

this is super cool Gami. With how connected Noun 189 is to the DAO i think it would be weird if the voting rights were held outside of the DAO with NOC. I'm obviously biased towards the DAO and much respect to NOC who hold it down daily.

Any thoughts on how to best manage this technically, that others may have seen, are much appreciated. Also, I’ll go deep on the research if there’s enough appetite. Think it might be something really fun for everyone to do while I’m in the weeds on business development and getting commercial stuff in place.

Yeah I’m leaning more toward keeping the vote within GnarsDAO than ⌐ⓝ°ⓒ.
Enables us here more and is an awesome thing to do!

And of course, any Gnars props that go up, I can lobby nouncil and help get those 13 votes too.

Awesome you mention that. I’ve been thinking about how Gnars DAO can have this kinda satellite presence as a brand, while anyone who wants to, can leverage the cc0 assets etc, and tap into the gnars and nouns communities, to have their own localised businesses.

Like I can imagine having something here in Australia and running the main Gnars.com site, then I can imagine individuals running in their own languages, or localised around the world, kinda like I’ve been doing with Nouns — such is the nature of having everything in the public domain. 🤙

The more I think about it, Gnars DAO looks like a “nounish lifestyle brand” and the perfect place to celebrate street culture. Probably sounding a bit woo-woo but I’m seeing the vision so clearly. 😊

Wouldn’t it be so cool if when travelling you were always within reach of a nounish spot you could visit, knowing there’d be some skaters, riders, artists etc to hang with? 😍

It was a lot of fun.
Some days we'd put a sign up like "yo, we're up the street at this bar, join us there or call us and we'll come back" hahaha
I had enough of sitting around in the one spot after a few years and my business partner was off the rails and left me with half the shifts. Customers and clients found it hilarious and worked out great still not even being at the shop sometimes.
Kinda like showing up to a frens house, not home, go to the bar with them, head back to the shop for sales or work done.

Started as a body modification studio after working in Tattoo studios and them not being the right vibe. Created my own with the right vibe, then got tattooists to do guest spots here and there to get rid of the walk in style stuff. Just sick art.
But also ran a "Happy High Herbs" franchise from one room, retail clothing in another, handmade woodwork/lathed body jewellery from the workshop, web dev studio from the office. Very diverse little spot. Was a cool setup!

But it tied me to the one spot. I needed to travel and get away from the staff. The web stuff took over and I went remote about a decade ago.

So seems like Noun 189 delegation to community has support. Will make a proposal for this on Snapshot soon. So we can formally vote. Need to work out how to make it happen technically still. But also, thinking this will allow us to eventually revive the skatepark proposal that once occurred in Nouns DAO: #900411018730160131 message

As in, together we can create a proposal, then submit that to Nouns DAO. As mentioned prior: "Gnars DAO x Nouns DAO x The Skatepark Project"

If everyone is down, then steps could be pretty simple.
One option:
Just set up snapshot votes for voting on existing props and for submitting props after discussing in discord.
Token holders vote in snapshot.
You execute vote/submit prop.

Or

Delegate noun to gnars multi sig,
Same for the rest in terms of snapshot voting, but multi sig crew executes votes and submits props.

Probably the 2 simplest ways to get started.

Yeah that's essentially exactly what it is, allow for group consensus, then carry out votes/props on behalf of the group's majority choice.

In fact, I can even configure Reality module to work directly from votes inside of Discord.
Probably some security considerations first, but we can take any off-chain consensus and execute on chain.
But in saying that, a Nouncil inside of Gnars DAO sounds awesome. Because we have super keen community members like @frail crescent ❤️
