As a sidenote ive known @lavish ether for more than 25 years. He showed me how to see HTML source code when i had an AOL account in like 94-95. I went on to teach myself HTML/CSS, and ended up studying computer science in the late 90’s. He gave me my first web hosting like 95-97ish. And my first UI/UX intership around 98-99?

I went on to get him into NFTs and the Metaverse in 2020, despite him already working in crypto

And with that said: he has a proven track record of doing off the wall things in very high quality

And individuals who make their own and want to slap a label-sticker on it. However, in the long run I'd like to settle on a recipe so its the same everytime and a signature sauce.

[Prop 32] Creating of Gnarsauce Hot Sauce product

Description

A proposal asking for 0.69 ETH and Gnar 2767 from the treasury to facilitate the package design and cost of a test-batch of “Gnarsauce” a gnars themed hot sauce to add flavor to your day. It’s perfect for those on fire trying to keep the flames stoked AND for cheering up those having a participation-trophy only type of day. 

# Deliverables
Bottle design for three different sauces with flavor names decided by the community.
Package design of a box that holds a set of three. 
This will be CCO open source downloadable for anybody to use.
Delivery of gnarsauce to discord raffle winners and promotional events.
An order site for additional gnars sauce after funding is used up.

# Funding uses
This proposal does not cover starting a hot sauce business as much as bootstrapping the ability to get branded gnarsauce. The small amount of ETH included in this proposal will be used for:
- Payment for printing and labeling a pre-existing hot sauce (white-label).
- Postage for sending out samples to discord winners and sponsored extreme athletes (drop-ship and manually).
- Taste samples, hosting, and material needs. 

Gnar 2767 will be moved to gnarsauce.eth and used as the primary gnar for labeling.

# Timeframe
(Immediately) Public feedback, conversion to a markdown proposal with feedback to be presented to a board meeting.
- A month of design work and competitive hot sauce/whitelabel/dropship research.
- A month of active community votes while finalizing designs and first run participants.
- - We will lobby to present to the podcast, preferably with samples at the ready.
- - We will community vote on names and run raffles or contests for early taste testers.
Month three will be the final decision of purchase strategy, deliveries, and the creation of a product site.
Month four is realistic padding on delivery to individuals and smoothing out any operational hiccups.

- A public site will be available to the public to order individual bottles or cases.
- Crowdsource recommendations (recipes, dropshipping, etc) will be crunched for a future evolution (This is not necessary for the original whitelabel order concept).
- The creation of a business model where the majority of income is split between the gnars treasury and a gnarsauce coffer for administration and shipping costs to facilitate future events/tacobars/skishops/and other adoption fun stuff.
- FoodNOUNS will be approached, but this would not rely on their infrastructure.

An excuse for a fun gnarsauce label and bragging rights.

# About Geffenz
Longtime board sports enthusiast, slightly mellowed with age. I taught snowboarding in Tahoe, but now attend more online board meetings than first chairs sadly. Still! I make it to a mountain for some powder every year. I've been on the NFT scene since the beginning and have a healthy collection of gnars and noun derivatives (ok mostly gnars). I’m fucking psyched to do this for the sheer enjoyment of having our own hotsauce gnars label! My initial intent is to spend all funds on execution not personal profit, with an eye to a sustainable business model in the future.

Once we have a baseline on how to do this, we can very proactively do that. The challenge will be the next step of actually making a recipe (or three) and getting ingredients sourced with global standards or per country regulations. We probably will need gnarsauce ambassadors in different spots. BUT I have some cool ideas for making your own flavours which I will not be sharing yet (one because it will be so fun as a surprise and two because we have some groundwork to do)

I spoke to my mate who makes amazing hot sauce here in Aus.
I think the easiest thing would be to use the label and print them and the packaging for a triple set here and slap them on his bottles.
We'd need to make some customisations to the labels to make it legal in Australia. But we have it handled. I can modify the label designs to suit and add the nutritional info no problem, provided there is space for that panel in the design.

Thinking we make a small batch of 450 bottles, 150 of each flavour.
Package them all up in 150 triple sets.
Sell 100, give 10 to 10 of those buyers to share with frens, then strategically give the other 40 triple sets to places that will get coverage doing contests or things like that.

This way the 100 sales could cover all costs of materials, bottles, labels and packaging and ultimately get them in the hands of 140 people, some of which would hopefully film contests and stuff.
If things go to plan, there's opportunity to sponsor events and film it. Could send some to Goldy to make promo film with too. Or footage to put together a little story film about it. Or run our own hot sauce contests and film them.

It’s a small batch operation atm. But there’s literally thousands of hot sauce companies/makers in Australia. So it’s perfect to start with. We can worry about scaling if need be in the future.
He’s worked in operations management in the food industry for a long ass time so scaling is only a demand and capital issue. Knowledge and experience is there.

Making energy drinks is a huge and dominated market, not something gnars could/should attempt imo. Small runs for fun could be cool, but I dare say quite expensive, especially if you get into the recipes and approvals for different jurisdictions.

finally received my 1st bottle of gnar sauce. packaging is excellent. @lavish ether said he's getting stickers for the next run to throw in shipments. label is printed well. curious if the plastic bottles are an option as well as it would make it easier to ship/bring along with u to not worry about the glass breaking but seems like good quality from karma. very Caribbean jerk/curry forward scent with a little bit of the fruit sweetness. color is very nice, can tell its from fresh, blended ingredients right away instead of using flavorings. the viscosity of the sauce is nice too, often times hot sauces are too watery but not here. doesn't seem to need to be shaken right away but always a good idea. in kitchens i learned it's better to taste certain things like sauces on the back of ur hand (washed of course), to avoid the possible metallic taste from a spoon so that's what i did here, a few times lol. very fruity/curry flavor to it right away. pretty mild at first which is good to be able to taste the flavors. heat creeps up afterwards from the back of the tongue but not overpowering at all, at least for me. tingle lingers around for a few minutes but still not an abusive heat. seems like a great sauce for fish or chicken dishes, especially Caribbean inspired ones. could also probably be a great marinade with some lime and apple juice, some garlic and onions, plus fresh herbs. overall a very nice sauce. 9/10
