#S1 Patch Difficulty

I am concerned.

My server is just over 1 month into the season. With the new psychicore I just auto-breezed through 160 levels of Fae Meander and 44 levels of each Pillar without even looking. Honestly, I probably could have done it with only 2 or 3 characters deployed. The fights were over in 10-20 seconds.

Without exaggeration, I can beat level 12 on every dungeon barely encountering any of the fight mechanics. I take a few damage dealers and kill the boss in seconds before they get to do anything.

I'm not sure there's much of a game left-- The appeal of the game was in the balance and in the need to change out characters and equipment to adapt to each new fight. And I haven't needed to change anything since the patch.

I do greatly appreciate the new character leveling option. Repetitive goblin farming is not fun gameplay, and getting access to actually play with more of the characters I have rolled is great. Getting access to level more characters makes the game easier in a good way.

Getting access to roll more characters with dice as part of the early game experience also makes the game easier in a good way. There were times when the difficulty of the game could be frustrating by not having access to one of the characters able to help in a fight that was blocking progress. --More stages to the dungeons with a gentler difficulty increase between each stage eases the difficulty too.

For the average player, the original difficulty of the game was probably a little too steep. Bumping character attack and defense by 5 or 10% would be fine and there would still be challenging fights. But it feels like my characters are taking 50% less damage and dealing 50 - 100% more damage. Overnight, my vortex score went from 14 mil to 62 mil, consistent with a greater than 4x increase in character power. (2x defense and 2x attack)

Too much content is just nothing now!

This sounds very concerning indeed. I actually liked the challenge in s1 to try to make teams work for different dungeons with my limited options and while I think Fey and pillars were unfairly strong towards non whales and should've had some mechanic that you could just finish them end of season at least, where rewards not matter much anymore except artifact and sense of completion...them now giving it away for free just adds another grain of salt for us who get an uncertain compensation "in the future" and probably can only wait for s4 to purchase what they missed on s1 with earned endgame currency

the power up boost helps new players a lot and i am curious to see other new comers comment on the difficulty. i do like the fact that fey meander and trials is now easier but i also feel is a bit too easy.

perhaps dev can implement team building conditions in labyrinth in fey or just combine both fey and labyrinth (both mechanics and rewards), this way fey will be slightly more difficult to clear early of the season but much easier once they have a team established mid-end season. the team building conditions of course will have to be fine tuned so its not as restrictive e.g. you cant expect players 2 have 2 fully build element at the start of the season; so restricting based on unit rarity or role should be doable and challenging enough. new players especially might not even have enough units to build 2 proper teams.

my other concern is on OW. at the moment it seems really easy to hit 22m. while it's good that every player now can get max rewards. it will make the first few days and the first week of OW incredibly stressful because everyone will be rushing to fill up their team slots. previously due to not being able to even hit 7m on some teams, players instead spam the dungeon for points with their best team. its pointless to build a team unless it is strong enough to breach the 7m check point after all. If OW has a team cap that slowly gets increased every week like chief challenge, I think it will not be as much as an issue but since the cap jumps from 6 (1 for each chief challenge) to immediately 15, it is kinda crazy.

I don't understand. They got a different psychicore but other season didn't??? We are ALL playing the SAME game, you cannot change core mechanics, we need to have the same. You can give them something we got later, like mythic gear, so they don't have to wait S3 for it...but you cannot have 2 different types of the same game, as it is unfair to those who do not have it. Whether it's easier or more difficult, it is irrelevant. You cannot make a distinction between players like this, it is discrimination 😄

you cannot give them 200 stages of Fey, whereas we have 180, more stages = more rewards. Whatever your devs are thinking atm, delete it, it is insane

they already say s2 and s3 will be getting the updates. its just incremental updates and also bug testing before rolling out to your servers. its not discrimination its being safe.

the text they posted is quite vague, getting what? when? is it exactly the same or just some compensation? I mean they need to be open about it

If they are too easy, that is arguably a much worse problem, then there is no incentive...Regarding Fey, they should make the artifact relatively easy to obtain, such as the epic hero. BUT add in rewards for higher lvls in form of scrolls and etc, the higher lvls are meant to be challenging surely.

Isn’t fey like 200 levels now. You rolled over lower mobs… let me know when it’s too easy and you’ve cleared the whole thing

but you are late to the party. the overpowered affinities are already acknowledged and fixed lol

you miss the whole drama by s1 people cause the affinity screw up their rankings for those doing otherworld and copper dragon

So will season 2 and season 3 get the free fey legendary artifact/ free heroes seems as they option to obtain it is only available in season 1?

Most of us just didn't bother because our fey season 1 was harder than yalls

Original FeyS1>>>>>>current FeyS1. It’s not gonna happen but because they highly decrease the difficulty, they should compensate for old players because of it.
