The fights were almost like Dragonheir, you select your units and place them on the field, but it had a target button that you set up attack and support targets, it had a card featured too. The attack is not difficult, the unit would focus on the target until he died or you changed the target, but the support was good, you could set a dps to support a tank for the dps to attack the tanks target, set a healer/support for support a target by prioritizing single target heals or buffs... I miss that game...

That would be a really nice feature on Dragonheir...

Did you read the second book? I am still struggling to get through it as I do not like the direction the author took with some aspects of the story.

I made a rule a very long time ago to keep books and movie adaptations separate, never compare the 2 because it'll never be right. That said, I am looking forward to the Ready Player 2 movie.

Yeah. I was here from the start. I have access to consistent playtests, as it can offer cash or gift cards depending on the company that sets up the playtest. PlaytestCloud out of Germany had set me up with the initial playtest. Now, I have tested all the other versions since. It definitely is a lot of fun, and the occassional payouts are fun to have some spending money every once in awhile.

I'm glad I am not the only one who struggled. I only got about a third through the book before I quit reading. I plan to go back once they officially set a date for the new movie.

Armada is good if you go into it knowing it is going to be a similar experience as Ready Player One. The other book he did was The Importance of Being Ernest (a pun on his name) which is a ton of various slam poetry that he did for awhile. That one is probably the least popular of his stuff, and really could be passed. I also read the fanfic that another author did that Cline stated is considered canon for the Ready Player One universe as it was really well written. I believe it was written by Andy Weir of The Martian?

The first I would only recommend if you are heavily into the geek and nerd references that he throws into everything he does. The short story by Weir is well worth the read. I just read that it was available to watch. Personally, it sounds like a lot of the ideas that the show wanted to do were nerfed early on in the process. There were supposed to be several cameos, just like in the Dan Slott run of the series. I would much rather reread the comics than watch a semi-decently CGI'd version of She-Hulk. Plus, I am already seeing the direction they are going with the movies, and I had stopped watching after Thor Ragnarök.

Pretty sure Monday didn't happen b/c the one the night before didn't go well, there were issues getting people to start, issues recording the game play. Think they want to find a fix, or a better way to go about the next test probably.

If that's what you mean than the best thing to do is to find an easy quest guide or book and fallow it the best you can.

Honestly the enjoyment is challenging myself though impossibility wirhint eh rules but feels like I get cut out of the deal

A DM trying to find players for this type of extreme feels like I want to let the monsters and Bandits to get a threat and enforce some kind of feel that you can’t cut people out

It kills my enjoyment when it feels like I got nothing to show for with some settings and experiments

well I never played DnD online except for games I prefer the old style board games, Was so much fun! You actually had to think about things, I worked hard to earn taht Palladin. The guys didn't thinkit was "proper" for a female ROFL

have them start the game as peasants but earn the warrior/pally/ranger roles later. just because they get stronger doesn't mean the game has to get easier, the bandits can get stronger as well. so when it feels like to the player they are earning all these rewards they are still barley holding on by the skin of their teeth after each fight?

I still think you should write up a campaign with a pseudo 3rd or 5th Ed. DND engine and see how it fares to a larger audience. Some people might dig the concept.

I played a game called “Horse Girl.” It was a diary RPG involving body transformation and got real weird. Interesting concept. Only played it once.
