basically trial and error it, see which one unit you need vinyara to lock up and make it happen. she needs no other stats than resist and accuracy.... 400 each is overkill

try locking up dorkruz first, and keep everyone out of vidimir's battle skill target area for frost avoidance

that will minimize his damage and take frost out of the equation

and if your tanks up front and healers have resist 400..... elcebre is pointless with her charm

that leaves just soaking the damage. and with felosia shields and frurb heals.... prob shouild be ok

Vicuc and hels basically pointless there, ghul isnt helping you much and one melee tank is going to need heavy defense for solo tanking

just put tank at far bottom and move araces 1 tile toward back from where he is so the tank is foremost and attracts the boss. araces will close in and be 2 tiles away, which should avoid the ult

but in arena he slaps hard with crits

and on my main i just used beags and percival with aeschetius so the reverse of what you have, and easily 22m

so surely with karf and durem for better enabling and buffs and damage you should do fine with araces

i mean.... garius alone is nice there. catherine will prevent the defense down in vortex IV when timed appropriately and can top people off, so she can help sustainability. alternatively, you can go iola instead of catherine for attack down and she can hold your defense down artifact and be your brotherhood set user for attack buff, which allows all 3 dauntless to be full gambler dps

but even without gatekeeper, he can full heal your team and iola can keep them alive with attack down + increase damage with brotherhood set

You have no shields here also. And no multi hit debuffer for defense down artifact. Dont worry about affinity here at all. You either burn him fast or you outlast him. If you want to try and kill him fast, go:
Ripelkas, ghulende, lossenia, trolgar, usha. Make loss your defense down artifact and let ripelkas and ghul freely ult boss to keep attack down on him and push back his ult generation… just kill it.

Or. You bring adolphus instead of oggok and errich with defense artifact + another wild dps instead of sigrid (tonalnan) in your team above…

acilia, gillian, victor, aemon, ardreth is going to steamroll ice and necro domains, as well as curse. you can swap out victor for journ for venom and ice/poison domain (he's there for the shield removal for curse and ice). for rad/fire domain acilia can still be used for her immunity and cleanse; you can bring rook, oggok, acilia, sacredia, dargo for that one. for venom, i'd go with the aemon team and just drop victor and use journ. in all cases using radiance/fire you want ardreth as your defense down artifact holder.

vortex is going to be the poison team, period. drop acilia and bring someone who can shield (ideally felosia, but if you have frurbath you can use oggok + frurb and give oggok staff, frurb horn); dargo holds defense down arti. s3 you will use puppeteer sets from rot on your supports and tanks instead of using ancestral protector. the only time ancestral is useful is when you have a single melee tank taking all the damage, then at that point the damage reduction and resistance tend to be better.

if you dont have ozul, i wouldnt bother with shadow early season. but aemon + ardreth + acilia + journ + gillian can basically carry through entire fey and pillar.

Right, was forgetting about his steal buffs. I lasted almost 4 minutes with him getting to 17 stacks of attack. This was close to winning. The defeat screenshot was an entirely different team. It was my arena team and yep, he stole their buffs and murdered them all superfast. smh lol, when you just want to punch the boss in the face regardless of what really is going on.

there is a point where you can brute force all bosses in game with speed runs and ignore mechanics... but in my experience on the recent s3 test server, that requires some exclusive dps, lots of legendary artifacts and really good gear. and in the case of AB, better yet ultimate manipulation to slow down his mechanics... my team was using a full 5/5 inspired shadow legendary team + fathomdown + ghulende and just would burn it down. i couldnt do that on my main with any team.

so the safe play is damage over time, outlast him using proper balanced team and paying attention to mechanics and stat requirements

s2 necro boss is actually pretty easy f2p if you are looking for just 22m. i think stew gaming has a video on it that shows the units... with your units, i would run... ripelkas tank high accuracy, ghul, zharloth, adrie, questa... you line questa up far to one side with ripelkas far to other side up front... boss moves to ripelkas and faces him on that side... questa comes up behind boss and avoids ult damage. only rip will take ult damage in that setup... with rip, questa, ghul, zharloth and adrie all having some degree of ultimate reduction or push back, they all need accuracy and dps stats... and basically you just delay the living crap out of the boss so he ults very rarely and doesnt stack damage bonus fast... you last the full time and just do as much damage as possible while surviving

lol, test server was a joke for me. It stasrted off around a good time, during the end of the week. Beyond that could only give it maybe 3 hours at best throughout the weeks it was open. Grinding gets boring fast after you can do it so much unhindered. Last 3 days was just a summoning session for me. I just hope they keep the mats setup for season 1 and also, the level up cart. Constant goblin runs around mid-season would just be wasting energy imo.

might want to turn ergander's ult off here so you dont need resistance on him, as his immortal will just get dispelled.

also you know dane steals buffs right? which means he will have buffs the boss will then dispel and get stacks from 🫣

dane is trash here, get rid of him.... you need a multi hit ult for defense down. and sigrid frankly is just not going to do it for you, she's a single hit ult with not as much damage vs single target as you need to kill this quickly. should really try that frost team i suggested and can keep ergander tank if you want

Nathaniel, enlightment and monelisse if needed. Vani, emperor with crit+crit dmg. Nimbus the same, and atk speed runes if possible. Make sure Vani ults before Nimbus

and artifacts yeah... nathaniel the book with %shield if you have otherwise tiara with stronger shields. Ivellios - Legendary Fan, if you dont have that Ink is amazing. Nimbus with Witches Remains and enough accuracy and Vani with the Cup. I guess you dont have Fey Legendary from S2 yet.

you only have 3 affinity at the moment so dont worry about having pure 5/5 affinity teams for things like dungeons and for progression

garius up front, sigrid in the back... ripelkas for debuffs

leaves you with 2 slots; can bring heksandra for extra heals and letalis for more aoe debuffs or you can go dorkruz + rowena for frost aoe damage

you missing key units. if you arent using rook in s3, best you can do is ice blast. for you, gerthin + frurb + felosia...... i dont see bleddyn and i assume you have nord. bleddyn + nord + gerthin would be fine; or if you dont have bleddyn you can bring some multi hit ult unit with defense down arti instead....... but you missing key units here. i dont see schaltar but assume you have him, but no zeffi/oggok to run immortal dauntless, and necro sucks the life out of dauntless vortex s3... you could run aura but you wont be doing more than 50m midseason, which is laughably top 200 with all the rook and iceblast enjoyers.

This is the positioning I used for it. I just can’t show you with my units bc I did my attempt already this week

I used frurbath and nathaniel for this guy; position frurb bottom front corner and nathaniel right behind him 1 tile away. What will happen is in that positioning, frurb steps forward 1 tile, giving them 2 tiles of separation (allowing nath to avoid ult damage from boss and taunts most of the time)… but both of their regens will still heal each other 🙂 that allows you to position your other units back corner other side and not worry about them

@fiery barn youve got Garius and Acilia so that's your radiant tankers taken care of. You also have Wellby, Hegio, and Lorentheel from the looks of it. That's Rally right there. Just gear em the best you can and add a healer or something, you don't gotta worry about affinity from the looks of it.

You need corrin with enough haste that he gets a 14.9sec Rotation that your poison stacks dont fall off (100haste from hourglas + 40 from 2 2set and runes 36/37 at least). Lothair needs 40 stacks of poison at all times.
Then you need twitch or durango to Apple as fast as possible and as much psn stacks+witches

And ofc, his excl. artifact to boost his dmg even more xD

ok so as someone who has lothair and used him since s2 in vortex he needs the following requirements to actually do anything:
40 stacks of poison - achievable by having 2 poison appliers, but one of them has to be corrin (epic) with 74 haste and +20 hourglass legendary artifact... in order to get him up to the speed needed to cycle his ult fast enough to keep resetting poison durations in order to allow those stacks to be permanently applied... doing that allows lothair to ult and do max derivative damage (his passive is unique of any unit).
second poison applier can be eli because his ult is multi hit so he can apply defense down... but this means witch remains legendary artifact since that is a priority with your first legendary duplicate pull. you buy hourglass 2nd or 3rd (behind gatekeeper staff if you use garius)... but ideally the second poison applier should be durango or twitch, as they deal excellent damage themselves and apply more poison - meaning faster 40 stacks for more damage sooner.

lothair also ideally needs derivative damage bonus set with 300+ enlightenment and 5000+ attack using ink pot artifact if you do not have serpent deity statue (yet another legendary artifact that requires a poison duplicate)

which means you need the stars to align to give you 2-3 legendary dupes... not to mention you need legitimate supports for him to shine. s1 that means frurbath/khrysos tank with adolphus/oggok support... and with frurbath you want horn (yet ANOTHER legendary artifact)...

lothair is NOT an exclusive that anyone can just plug and play. he needs huge team surrounding him and legit gear, artifacts, etc. as a lowspending s1 player, you should reset his xp and straight up ignore him. he's basically useless to you at the moment. fantastic unit! useless to you right now

issue is early game you dont have the gear to make him a crit build with accuracy so he self enables and does "okay" damage during progression or goblins

he's a long fight unit, and he's a melee

so basically makes him unusable for various content where melee is bad, and most battles are very short. he is okay in arena, but you dont need to level him for that.

you can use him in goblins as your up front unit, but you'd be wasting xp on a unit being used ONLY for goblins

he's not going to help you anywhere else in pve like domains or gear dungeons, and in s1 you wont use him vs chiefs and otherworld

he's basically a week 5+ vortex only unit in pve

IF you have the items and units to support it

horrus, sagomir, meggan, sigrid, iola = venom team (horrus main tank, sagomir offtank... and you place them on the field in this order: sagomir > horrus) positioning is horrus up front center, sagomir up front just below him... meggan top front, sigrid straight back from horrus at the back row and iola right directly in front of her... so both are targeting boss with their basic attacks.

there is no vortex team there yet frankly, but you can use your venom team for now just to get on the board

sagomir is amazing in arena and he can be useful in pve. i picked him because he is a tanky melee with a little self healing, and you need 1 of those for goblins. you have no usha and frost units yet so sagomir is your best bet

and dude... no one has a good tier list. such a thing doesnt even really make any sense in this game when it is entirely team composition dependent. rares can be awesome if you have the right team. tier lists are super useless here

gear you should not be spending bread on at all until you are farming the max level dungeons. you build your teams to accomplish that and then outfit them in decent epic gear without spending bread for stamina.. then progress to legendary gear until you can farm the dungeons you need on auto. by that point you should have better roster so you can do more efficient farming.

very nice indeed 🙂 my issue is that no felosia + lothair team is essentially not usable in vortex before you farm lego gear and are able to +20 artifacts... so effectively not until at least week 3, and even then in current QOL you dont want to burn bread early season til double drops. if we ever get double drops all the time, that changes things... but even still, first week of vortex effectively crap, plus lothair isnt great anywhere else in pve unless you have legit gear and can speedrun things like AB9... but that usually means inspirations and artifacts. not really achievable first couple weeks of season, so he ends up being a mid season build

Sadly, the exp limitation makes it impossible to play around with teams before endgame. Missing the thing from other gatchas where you are able to put lvl1 heroes in to be max lvl

And i recogniced, the queens fan arti is really good because on vortex its always max dmg boost. Didnt know before 😮

any sweats got any general advice for making 15 22m comps for chaos shadows? my rank has been roughly constant all season (s3), but the boss opens in a few days and it's starting to slide and I think it's bc I only have 6 22m comps

like are there some go-to epic/rare dps champs that can make the 22m happen?

I used traveler in s1 and s2 but didn't really need to in s2. Did not build traveler in s3 at all.

Muffinman has super low ult time so he's perfect for witches/crown to debuff for sigrid.

That was a 22mil-25mil team depending on rng each day.

Catherine does better than Merideth on that team. I used Merideth because I thought Catherine was used in another team already. Once I figured out Catherine wasn't being used, I swapped them and my team score went up.

what I don't get is Adolphus. Doesn't the fire boss ignore shields when he has buffs?

Hi guys, i have started S1 and i would like to optimize my dauntless team for vortex. I use Tharivol with witch atm. I don‘t have Acilia or Sagomir. Do you have an idea how to improve the team comp?

For one thing s1 is lightning and radiance so u cant really use felosia when u unlock 5 afinity bonusses
