Yea like rally isn't top tier DPS really save with the right combo on the right boss. Which is mostly Philto based, although Huberg does solid damage. But you do have the Rad boss, but Journ is a diff story and theres ways to turn and move the boss.

S2 its doable, tbh beldelle squads (bypasses shields) and a few other squads crush them when built right. But arena squad theory and practice gets really sweaty

Line everyone in single line right up against the queen. Tank in the center. Healer(s) at the end(s). Manual all attack ults on the queen. Make sure sigrid ults right before the queen ults. Ignore the spawns behind you. They don't stay on screen very long. Focus all on the queen. Make sure sigrid has enough accuracy to land the heal prohib right before the queen ults.

Yeah, that's not good positioning to start. But more importantly, the 2nd stage of the boss would grab Garius. You're going to need to try to first have 5 man synergy and alot of attack to break the hand.

I think I used two tanks and 3 dps with aero effect attacks. The only reason I actually ended up beating the boss was actually thanks to the update. The synergy realing helped out for damage actually.

The most specific advice I can give is to drop traveler. Him/Her skills don't have any extra effects besides raw damage.

I think my team was Furbath tank, Heksandra heal and then 3 dps including Sigrid.
Had to hold the dps ults for the hand and then nuke it asap. Have to manually target it with people like Sigrid

my 1st archtype is Rally since it's my most.built from S1. Can anyone help me decide between Ice Blazt or Burn with the units I have?

rally you need to ignore in s2 until otherworld... just not going to be as good as ice blast. you have the best 2 epics for IB, gerthin and bleddyn... add in zhorak as a support/offdps and you basically have a sick team that will carry you through vortex, light pillar and pretty much dungeons, fey, etc. for a good amount of the season. garius + a shielder or attack down and you have your team.

burn is only going to be good in pillar; it is not single target at all... goblins too i guess. but you dont have aeschetius, so you'll need to rely on araces, durem, karf team (or replace araces with lyle)

but ice blast is the top mechanic in s2

and you have basically the best units that arent shinnah and belldelle

pretty much no, he's just in normal heliolite banner unless there is some future event that comes around that lets you pull season exclusives

for AB9 i really like using high resist, high defense adolphus as my back tank since he can self heal and shield. then i bring frurb for attack down, voresh for offheals and buff block/dispel/defense down artifact... i use felicity alone as my dps since she can do that job well without other wilds... that leaves me with 1 slot to fill, and for that i prefer a very high resist garius. if you dont have enough resist on garius, his heal on hit buff gets dispelled, giving the boss stackable damage bonus... since he is in a role of pure healer for that dungeon, make sure he is 300-400 resist just like adolphus, then worry about defense after that for more heals.

resist body, resist main rune, defense main second rune, defense main hands... def% and resist subs everywhere else for both adolphus and garius.

and ofc adolphus needs some enlight for his shield strength and heals, but you can use just sub rolls for that

what team were you using for AB9 previously that you were dying?

because every support and tank aside from frurb that you have leveled has buffs for themself or the entire team... and there's no way you are running resist 400 on every unit in the team. which means felosia and elminster are pure trash in AB...

Ok so, next season I would focus poison and lightning. Furbath Reytah Ivel Sutha and Shagrol for Vortex.

Twitch Durango Sigrid Furbath and probably Iola for Gobbos

I would pull 1 by 1 on your ticket summons until you get two leggos. If you pull two leggos and still have tickets left, then keep pulling because you get pity at 10.

Use your tickets until you have no guaranteed pith left.

IF you get Shinnah or Belle, then consider pulling on s2 banner

If you do not get Shinnah or Belle from tickets then I would NOT pull on s2 banner

there are 2 ways to beat it. 1) damage check. big pp gear and units, burn the elemental then burn the boss. in season 1 this was difficult outside of dauntless because that was really the only single target damage you have with that affinity. in season 2, ice blast did this easily. in season 3, aura super easy if you have aemon. 2) heal prevent. you bring something that can prevent heals on the elemental (nissa i think is the only one in affinity?)... not ideal, because if you bring melee you have a chance to lose the unit plus if you dont have heavy damage capability outside of that debuffer, you will still stall out.

i was doing half of this in my season 1, so it becomes relative to what others on your server are doing. hard to gauge when the new psych makes it not apples to apples comparison anymore

and yeah not much difference in top50 rewards frankly. the gold tickets just add exclusives to the potential pulls on them, and oyu can only get 2 regardless... so chances are low its an EX anyway. not to mention your strat for s2 pulling should be just dumping resources on the season 2 banner itself and ignoring the tickets anyway... you save them for late season when you are just hoarding dice; they dont go away til end of season anyway, so you can save up and do a casual 1 pull at a time to get 2 legos off the tickets before the end of the season. that's the pro strat

Oof you should have gotten rift hourglass for your 2nd legendary artifact. Can you max scroll Ripekas? I personally only finished it in S2 with Journ and hourglass, but I'll try: Ripekas tank in front middle but with high accuracy, Zhar'loth to inflict fear and recharge penalty, strong healer, maybe Garius as healer. Voresh with Stun set. Felicity with 100% crit rate and as high damage as possible. Manual Ripekas ulti to hit Elecebre, Zhar'loth to hit the tanks, Felicity to kill Elecebre ASAP (usually wait until def down applied). After Elecebre it's the 2 Ripekas.

Khrysos, Staffgar, Mith. Split the tanks so the orbs aren't hitting just one. Ardeth would be king here for you but unfortunately no ardeth.

Two ranged: You could do Lorentheel and Philto and see how that goes. Otherwise typical Voresh and Sigrid works just fine. If you time everything right for debuffs from Voresh and Sigrid he should always target the tank instead of random due to the debuffs.

Keep in mind Venom 6-7-8-9 is sorta a level and gear progression at the start of the season. Some people cleared 9 at 70, more can at 90, and everyone should be able to clear it 90+.

Day 1: Anyone. You can reset their levels for 5 days. Just keep messing around. Its a good idea to play around with different characters as you want to learn the game mechanics.

Well done on two legendaries in day 1. Seriously.

Fire/Poison is a core combo in s1, particularly wild vs bosses. You already have the best tank, Frurbath. Tonalnan is a part of a key Wild combo, you later get Errich to go with her.

For now just go ahead with Fru, Heksandra (aka Heks), Fire MC (The redhead main character), Tonalnan, and whoever looks cool to you out of fire or poison (Vicana is fine). You'll be getting a lot more characters in the next few days as you progress.

Do not use Legendary skill scrolls yet. Make sure you reset everyone when you get to the end of your free reset period, post here, and get more advice.

Make sure your affinity bonuses are leveled.

Overall you dont have a core vortex team yet. Just kinda have to do the best with what you have. Timing wise, Fru is good at 14.5/20 or 27.4/20. Adolphus or Heks you'll be looking at 25.7/20, 21/4/20, or 14.5/20. You'll have to play around and see which one lasts longer. Make sure you time Sigrid and the other dps to go after Eli. Make sure Eli and fru have enough accuracy to land debuffs. Sigrid can be run as a straight dps, but her landing attack down is a good thing if you want, but shes likely your best dps right now as Wilds need other wilds to really do well.

For Heks? Gospel (Rare) or Mirror (Epic). TBH I Prefer Gospel on her due to her passive already doing what Mirror does, and double 30% isn't that much (See my FAQ section on healers and how heal additional %'s work)

She does not need enlightenment, its nice but not needed, her healing mainly comes from her ultimate, so skill haste sets x2 is usually better peformance out of her. Enlightenment is good if shes only healing one person getting hit (just the tank)

Corrosion needs rook. Whisk/dargo/gegnu. The orc is fine, but no broken numbers out of him. Sacredeia is “alright” but not on par with dargo whisk or gegnu unless you’re doing aoe.

Goblin should really be sigrid and frost/Voresh for easy clears

I sorta sleepwalked the entire thing with Syn, Staffgar, Tonalnan, Errich, and Felicity. Just have Errich land witch and Felicity and Tonalnan blow stuff up.

I used 1 Puppeteer set but 2 puppeteer sets arent a bad idea if healing isnt keeping up. Try emp sets if Aerial isnt enough damage, Syn enables emp sets well.

Have you seen dub hub stat clubs gearing spreadsheet? Thats a good starting place.

s1, 3pc sets are king. Specifically, gambler sets, but executioner is fine. If you're gonna run dps sets, run 3pc of either.

3ears/brotherhood belongs on your main debuffer, its fine on your healer tho, but your debuffer with crown benefits from it highly. Idea is debuffer has 3 ears go off the same time as defense down, then the DPS ulti. Also, you want crown on a multi hit debuffer - Iola instead of Irina.

When we say stun sets, I mean like everyone on stun sets. And ideally ultis that hit multiple times (So Iola is awesome, for example). The whole concept of this is rng and enough lockdowns to pass the level. So this fight, you basically want 3-4 people in stun sets. Do you have 2-3 dps stun sets (Crit rate gloves and crit near 100%, enough accuracy to pass the stage), and a tank stun set (Def%, accuracy to pass the stage)?

Next:

The mythic gear is based off 3pc sets WITH the mythic pieces. You only wanna use say, Precise Carnage Gloves and then a 3pc of your t4 set in chest helm weapon. Same goes for chest piece mythic: 3pc arm helm weapon.

Like really the only thing holding you back is gearing. That's it.

The quarion slot doesnt matter, you just want a healer there with the lowest hp but high defense so the top orb targets it. Only the tank gets hit, so as long as you have two quality healers (TBH, Heks and Adolphus should do it, Ogguk could work with Adolphus, not sure). The last two are just ranged dps, just one with crown/witch and one with good damage stats.

Really the main thing is the tank has a LOT of defense, and ideally 3pc ancestral. But just a lot of defense will do you fine in s1. If you have Fru, use him, cause he heals too. Garius works fine.

Its PREFERRED that the tank and dps have 3 affinity bonuses at least.

Horrus and Garius both rock 3set Ancestral, I got lucky there with event reward crafting. So Garius/Heks/Adolphus and I guess to get the 3set affinity I go for Wellby and Alton?

So as long as you've got Def % arms and Chest and ancestral 3pc they should be tanky enough. 4k is the goal for the old venom 9, 4.5k even better, 3.5k defense works fine with really good heals. Garius, especially Garius with Staff, is the easiest/best tank for it.

You want ranged DPS and ranged healers for this format. Anyone works.

3pc ancestral is a must on your tank if you're using a melee character. Also you have errich - use him instead of sigird with Tonalnan. Tonalnan's damage will scale faster. But, I cleared venom no issue with Voresh as witch/crown holder.

Yea this is the normal progression. We barely clear the stage before, get better gear from Venom and Curse, then barely clear the last stage, then it just improves timing wise from there

Here's the thing: As long as you clear, who cares if it takes 4:59. A win is a win and gear is gear. It only gets better from there.

But it serious is a lot of back and forth venom to curse to venom to curse to venom

Venom gear makes clearing curse easier, Curse gear makes clearing venom easier (cause you gotta gear up the tank). Once you have the tank heavy enough, then you can just sit in Venom till your gear is set dps wise. Then clear Curse for whatever perfected gear you need.

THEN you go into rot, get your 3 ears/Brotherhood set of choice (Get a set for DPS, Healer, and Tank), and save good pieces of stuns sets for Pillars and Fey (and pvp if you want).

Everything else is all runes.

AB is voresh, Fru, a healer, and 2 dps that don't buff (Unless you have Vinyara, everything changes with her). Chuck an absolute deterrence chest on your rearmost character that the backfire skill hits, or put 300 resistance on them.

Heretical works best with single target damage focused on the small birds to kill them asap.

Usually Eli or Jijel are witch/crown carriers.

Typically Eli outscores Jijel because Eli applies poison and gets his passive bonus AND 15% attack up.

HOWEVER - Jijel's 2* ulti energy reduction can make a big difference in your survivability in poison continental, so choose wisely between the two on which is more needed.

TBH I think just straight damage math they will likely score the very similar the difference would be marginal. But HP less bosses with poison throw this off highly.

Alfie is not good for Errich and Tonalnan FYI, he will fall out of use for you. Follie will net you better damage with those two outa the epics. Tonalnan and Errich trigger other wilds very well, you kinda dont need an additional trigger with them.

Hang onto the epic chest, see what you unlock later. Voresh makes bosses easy. Fru is the best tank for your Wild squad. Adolphus is a good shielder/healer but not an end all be all without the right circumstances, and Fru would do more for your team.

TBH if you pull Fru, Id almost tell you wait on adolphus and grab Zharloth so you can make better use of rava/auster in month 3. You should also level Usha, use her in Goblin with Auster and Rava.

So really, hang onto the epic chest for a while, see what else you roll. You dont need a perfect squad yet. This is rough tbh, cause if you had to make me choose on the chest, Id be torn between Voresh and Fru. Fru would help hook you up for your main team well, but Ergander is good enough for now. Voresh would make your life in goblin very easy, and make some bosses easier for you. Adolphus Id honestly wait on, Heks or Vicuc would be plenty of healing for now (Heks heals better, but vicuc gets rid of debuffs).

Yea bottom line: Wait to choose on your epic chest. See what else you roll while youre clearing content for a while.

For Radiance, I'd say use Wellby instead of Hegio: being rare, Wellby is easier to scroll; his ability synergize with Lorentheel - Alton combo better; also being ranged, he's easier to place. Placement is very important in this game. As other said, wait, but your wild team for Vortex is not ready yet.

Also, you can use Alton to hold crown/remains and apply debuff in 15s because of Lorentheel domain

Yes, no team is ready yet, its just the question of which team i should build first to go with generel content and vortex, until the possibility of reset is away tomorrow. But you would also say, wild team is my best bet and build radiance later or would you go radiance first instead? 🙂

Radiance for Goblin and Fae and Pillar because AOE while good enough for Vortex. Late game... Honestly unless you got Oggok rally is still your best dps, just need attack penalty (Iola)

Lorentheel is great, but Alton+Wellby is only "alright". You are gonna wanna level 2 squads anyways.

I was beating Lorentheel squads in s1 with Tonalnan, Felicity, Errich with Fru and Sifris, unless they had Philto/Huberg.

Basically both is good.

That SAID, you also have ivellios, if you can score 2 dauntless legendaries, or at least sutha and say, Shagrol or Nimbus, that may also outdamage some other comps. Ivellios is a beast with damage due to his passive.

I was mostly focused on Fire/Poison cause you seemed committed, I didnt know you were still in reset phase.

Like short version: You have the main enabler for Dauntless (Ivellios) and the main enabler for Rally (Lorentheel). You just need some more characters that are DPS focus to go with them.

Wild you have the two main enablers for Flora, but they work well with Felicity, Caspar, Follie.

Poison has the best support Epic wise overall, while Rad is very close, and then its super conditional Rad vs Poison s2 and s3 depending on unlocks and what you're utilizing.

All of them are fun, and valid. Whatever one you have more fun with tbh. Wellby DOES do better damage than hegio, and like Sam said he's also easier to skill level.

Aspalta, Taldie, Zharloth, Tamar or Iola, Ghul. Puppeteer sets. Swap one of the 3 supports for any tank if you need to. Its slower than having Daphne to do more damage and heal, but should still work.

Aspalta does ridiculous damage - very fast. Just focus on her. If you have a banner available to get Daphne, do it. Its a core combo I slept on for like a month this season and Im sad I missed out for a while on the fun.
