Please help me choose teams for Goblin, gear dungeons and story progression.

Sigrid for goblins, and then throw in anybody who can do aoe debuffs like voresh, letalis, irina. Frurbath can be used as frontline but he has a tendency to fall behind while casting his battleskill which is not ideal and you have to figure out ways to stack the first 2 waves to prevent it

For story progression you can just throw in garius / frurbath / sigrid / mc fire / +1 and be fine

for dungeons there are different mechanics, but garius tank usually + sigrid + frurbath to keep atk penalty up fulltime + damage

the idea is frurbath puts up atk penalty 2 on multiple targets in dungeon, and then 9.8 seconds later sigrid ults and she'll re-apply atk penalty 2 plus do damage to all the targets that have debuff on them

yeah, on goblins the skill timings are kinda bad because sigrid gets ultimate meter back when enemies die, but in dungeons you have frur go first to put atk penalty 2 up on multiple enemies and then 9.8 seconds later sigrid ults to refresh and deal damage

in goblin you just kinda have to have really strong gear and good setup to auto, so you will manual sigrid for a while if you want max exp pot rewards

but sigrid is definitely the one to build around in goblin, she can hard carry with good debuff setups

One very important note for mass debuffer is that because of Sigrid filling up her ulti meter, you would prefer someone that can apply mass debuff with their battle skill (like Rava or Dorkuraz). Letalis also have good captain aura.

You need cleanse and strong heal. Enna could work, but Fitz is better cleanse.

red team for general progression; yellow team for flame dungeon. blue units are those you should look at to level eventually.

goblin team: usha, sigrid, horace, iola, tamar.

your issues are just like what everyone else experiences when we start: team skill synergy, elemental affinity, positioning, gear. the units you have leveled just dont make any sense for trying to do flame domain... read the description of that dungeon, it says "fire and poison units take increased damage" - so you gotta build a different team to do it and that team has to be balanced also. enna has cleanse 1 for the burn (use it before boss ult) and she regens your team. if iola/tamar are too much debuff not enough damage, drop iola and bring Quarion healer also. he can heal the team up halfway through the turn and then enna cleanse before boss ult. berrik tanks for that team.

Cant access atm, however I didnt know if Frur + Hek + Sig + Huldork was too much redundancy.

well, i'd say you need more area debuffs to make sigrid more effective for many targets; or you need shields for a boss fight. for more debuffs, can use like... dench or letalis, or you can just go fire traveler for more damage in general. for shields if you dont have adolphus, go with dubok - his shields are based on his own HP so make him really fat. @opaque coral

3 man affinity gives you an atk and def buff.

5 gives a smaller elemental damage buff.

So, for efficiency sake, it's not bad to do 3/2 or 3/1/1 if you're getting better buffs/debuffs

target stats for a dps should be 3500 attack, 100% crit minimum; 4000-5000 attack better; 100 crit damage minimum, 200+ better... and for dauntless you need attack speed+++++

well, you gotta consider all the factors. usually it is some combo of: skill synergy of team > gear > affinity > positioning/timing

She needs 70% crit rate (battle skill and ulti has added 30%) and even faster attack speed. Yeah, ditch the hp, just put her bit away from the eye beam trajectory

skill synergy we figured out for you here: sutha, garius, irina, nathaniel, some other dauntless maybe for secondary dps.

gear you see prob needs work so that's a good find

positioning, i dont think it matters much using garius but you should all cluster up together using nathaniel for his regen and cleanse - you have to be up together for that to work on all units. so stack up on garius with nathaniel behind him and your other units in proximity.

timing wise, make sure attack down before boss skill damage and make sure defense down from artifact is up before sutha ults

and make sure nathaniel shield is up from ult before boss big attack

and that should be plenty to get you through. gambler set is fine on sutha since it gives attack speed

should get like 10 attack speed per epic rune pretty easily and then the gambler set bonus is a good start

tonalnan epic + errich is a good baseline; a lego wild or alfie/follie added in is usually what you want

speed damage is going to be huge to kill the hand before it kills your team

that's basically your vortex team though..... garius, nathaniel, nimbus, sutha, irina/shagrol. if you ditch attack down you make shagrol your accuracy unit with defense down artifact and nimbus and sutha go brrrrrrr

if you are dying too easy, you bring in irina for attack down and you make nimbus your defense down artifact user

if you have schaltar then no brainer yes; you build him same as every dauntless.... 100% crit, as much attack and damage as possible, high attack speed. since he is melee and he sacrifices his own hp for damage, needs to be a little tanky also

you kinda making some rash decisions there pulling on a blessed banner.... you know every 7 dice you get a guaranteed epic of the pool in that banner only (dont know if frurb is one of them bc cant see it, but i assume he is in there and that's why you tried?).... and getting the blessed lego hero from that banner.... that's a 1/8 chance when you get to 35 pulls. so if you pulled the exactly desired lego from the banner in only 20 pulls, you got way luckier than most players PERIOD.

you basically gambled and won on the lego. which a lowspender has no business being able to do

there are people who go hundreds of dice on a blessed banner to get the 1 hero they wanted but keep whiffing

pulling 35 dice hoping that 1 of those 7x 5 pulls nets you the epic you want is probably a surer bet than hoping you'd 1/1 the lego you selected at pity

anyway, no. there is no other $1 epic selectors, including into s2 - we still havent seen one yet despite a lot of people asking for it.

i'd be torn whether to grab isolde myself... i have irma for s2 tank but isolde + adolphus is just too good. and i have gladros as well. could easily go isolde, adolphus, wild team x3... i could also run a 2 epic, 1 rare burn team.

70 moving to epic gear is when % scales higher

And for dps can run 2x barbarian sets and crit% main hands then as well

Gets you close to 80% crit or more with good rolls

100% with both runes at 90+… Then legendary gear you can swap to crit damage hands and focus on crit% sub stats

can potentially replace fire traveler with Dench if you want to level him for goblins

if you have any issues with red team, drop traveler and use Dubok (fire orc mage) for shields

also caraman i dont have circled bc you shouldnt XP him at all but eventually may wish to scroll him for pvp... but since in arena you dont need levels and they scale up to 100 automatically, no xp needed

This was so long ago i dont remember it so i cant tell you everything to do mechanically, but read its skills, time your skills to keep you alive and deal damage. Read your characters’ skills and know what they do, make sure the gear you have is as i described in my guide for their respective roles

I beat this with absolute garbage for a team back then so… something is wrong. Check your gear, your positioning, your timings

Oh these are the exploding thingies. You bring two healers for this and position your squishier attackers in the middle. Spread the healers out in back and give them high defense.

You lack dps units for a good vortex team so just go with what you have for now…

Frurbath, isolde, sigrid, errich, heksandra and just go full damage on sigrid and use errich for defense down artifact with an accuracy/crit build

well first off, legendary and epics arent what make a unit good. sigrid has no place on a dauntless team and you are missing shields or a third dauntless or someone to apply defense down with a multi hit ult.

if you have nathaniel or ichiucatl, that would help in vortex; drop vicuc. but you'll have to build nimbus accuracy and put your defense down artifact on him

only character that needs to be reset ASAP is noteera, she is trash tier. nathaniel, deverick are both excellent.

dubok can function as a fire/poison team shielder until you get adolphus and/or isolde

and also early season you can just go 3/5 affinity and not worry about 5/5. so nathaniel will actulaly server better than dubok for you early on

horrus, nathaniel, heksandra, fire main character, eli. when you get sigrid, plug her in for eli. when you get irina, iola, voresh, dench you can plug them in for heksandra or fire main character as fits with your needs and to keep 3/5 affinity. also, if you get frurbath or isolde, both of them can replace horrus for pve.

good luck! save your rare and epic chests for a week or two, dont burn them immeidately and make a mistake

think about midseason and otherworld bosses with what you build early and i think that will serve you better. the easier bosses are fire, necro and ice damage i think... poison gets shredded by lossenia; journ is a pain vs light because of his area of ult forcing units that will take damage; supposedly talwer is the new annoying boss like bionphray that punishes melee, which means difficult dps with dauntless for lightning damage...... so kind of better off going fire, necro and cold so at least those bosses have a solid damage score first week, then build out from there. IB is also the new vortex scorer with burn being not too far behind... so there you go

Shin is the main support for Ice Blast. But you Need Gerthin or Beldelle to go with her.

Quaes is a decent tank in pve, good in pvp, and Malak is more "okay" in both. Malak does not replace Fru in pve. He does some tricks but none you need.

Honestly: If you can roll more on the s2 banner, do it. You're really close to some core combos.

Going to be a gear or timing issue for 3-3 three star

Iola aoe, sigrid ult, voresh aoe, sigrid ult, martina ult randomly to clean up, repeat. Just need to tweak the timing so it is predictable and make sure your gear is on point. Sigrids numbers should be 4000 attack, 150+ damage and 100% crit, eat poison + attack food, etc

And she should be on inventor set

Eyeball artifact, and she should be doing 100-200k damage on every goblin with defense down so she oneshots

Iola with defense down aoe first wave followed by sigrid to clear; voresh on second wave followed by sigrid ult and then martina ult to clear. Irina is there to add third wave debuffs and some battle skill damage to help clear… but it should flow like that

We did extensive tests in s1, I honestly thought 100% crit was the way to go due to his passive, but the heavier damage with 70% crit always won out.

I tried multiple sets, as did several other people, 2 of which I still play with in my alliance. I couldn't believe it and spent almost 4 hours trying to disprove it.

This is with horseshoe, goblet, everything.

Depends on comp and what you have for gear. I did better in two runs with Shaggy, Sutha, Ivellios, no witch, and witch on Fru not always landing, than I did on witch on sutha or shaggy.

That said, I upgraded some gear and thats not the case anymore. But its worth a test. I also saw a few top 20s running similar for a few days (This was prior to increased drops)

Mostly the real issue right now with Dauntless is Gambler vs Inventor

You don't go on CD for her, you go attack speed after CR. Every basic damage made additional attack that can crit themselves, basically adding >150% CD on their own. Any CD you add is miniscule in comparison. Instead increasr the attack speed. I used horn of labyrinth lord on her. She will sustain 10 stacks indefinitely

Hey, just looking for guidance on making boss teams for the utior event. Finding building teams a bit overwhelming atm in terms of clarity on investment. Especially as a f2p

Also, ive only just got the ability to do venom 7 but cant do 7 on other gear to get legendary pieces. Goblin is 3-1 atm, if that helps indicate my progression.

You honestly don't have many champs for other teams that I can build for you, but each team needs like 1 tank 1 healer support 2 dps 1 atk penalty usually, or just 3 dps

For flame 2 you can probably go Usha / Olgan / MC frost / Nathaniel / +1 atk penalty or healer like quarion is good. When you get to harder difficulties will need a cleanser like enna usually or you need Def up + atk penalty + shields to survive.

Also make sure you spread out your champions at least 1 square between each of them because hp burn does aoe damage.

Yeah, thats been my issue a bit. The names people mention I dont have, been getting unlucky on the rolls but thanks heaps for those recommendations!! I'll have to try see who I have to fill healer rolls and such. I have a lot of rally champs I think. But not sure if thats a good thing haha.

For your goblin team you should run frontline (either usha or if you can't get her to survive put in garius) + sigrid with all your best damage gear and poison +5% attk10% food, plus voresh to set up sigrid with aoe debuffs for her ultimate, + any other strong dps debuffers like rava or irina.

if you using irina put sigrid next to her with the music box artifact for bonus damage while shielded (irina puts shield on closest ally)

will have to manual 3-3 though until you get better gear / upgrades if you want to 3 star it

Oohh, I was eyeing off the music box. I can actually get that. My current team has been (due to recommendation) usha, rava, voresh, sigrid, irina. I swapped irina out for fire MC since it did slight more damage.

just need to get 90-100% crit rate + a lot of crit damage and atk on her plus a platinum knight's set eventually if you can, and all your best crit dmg / atk gear + food for poison / att

I got through most of the game with horrus / sigrid / irina / mc fire / heksandra for general progression and throw in champs like errich / meggan / enna / gerana for specific utility on my f2p challenge.

You have a ton of great champs like errich + tonalnen combination along with frur + heksandra + sigrid is a killer combination to take down harder dungeons. You have huldork for buffstrip when you need it, journ for ultimate meter reduction / fill. Garett + shaltar + iola for lightning core 3 + throw in tank and healer etc.

Try to think of team in terms of roles that need to be filled. Almost all teams will have tank + healer + support debuffer + 1-2 dps, and it's a bonus if you can fill multiple roles with one champ

it's why frurbath is so good because he's tank + helps heal + atk penalty support debuffer

Some healers use Enlightenment, some don’t, so it depends on the healer. I’ll usually build them at least a bit on the tanky side, how much I prioritize Enlightenment depends on exactly how they scale (e.g. I’ll stack Enlightenment as much as possible on Catherine who has both her skills scale with it, but Heks I’ll usually just grab defensive gear that might have an Enlightenment substat since it’s only her single target heal that scales)

Healers like Meggan don’t scale with enlightenment at all and can often times basically be built as an off tank (they don’t quite have the base stats or defensive abilities to be main tank, but can take some fire)

Pillar isnt long fights so you need big fast damage and debuffs, especially stuns. Eventually farm a couple stun sets from grave of rot and put then on high accuracy area debuffers. I think you can build durango crit damage build for pillar, sifris, sigrid, horrus, garian… durango can provide poison debuffs for sigrid to be able to ult everyone.

lol you have everything you need here. horrus tank, catherine set up to ult just before the boss debuff aoe every turn so you are immune... sigrid to ensure heal prevention with ult time for just before boss chomps the tank... can use adolphus as 4th unit for shields to help survival. that leaves room for 1 dps with accuracy to hold defense down artifact. can use eli, flora, errich, or that to make use of the 3/5 affinity.

your bread and butter for progressing in pillar of light is going to be garius + stun sets and big dps. you can use garius, nathaniel, glumm and irina... but i dont see much big damage. you can go martina since she is an ok self rally enabler vs multiple targets. but you are going to hit a wall that is the big boss eventually. probably by level 40 you wont be able to kill it anymore evne with good gear. stun set on irina and glumm.

beags, your two lego burns.... but you are missing tank and heals/shields. you could make beags your witch remains/crown holder; the other two full dps.

could try irma and dain but then you have no heals. dalk and meggan might work but dalks battle skill attack down requires scrolling or it is only one hit 75% chance for only 5 sec.... so it isnt amazing. his passive might be nice for short battles though? or if your dps is strong enough to burn bosses, there you go

I was using dane but i then i missed burn debuffs. I started to level beags. I am tanking with Garius both for ice team and burn. For heals Quarion which is decent but not perfect. Thanks @mental thunder

Burn mechanic is really underwhelming to me. I have Karf, he loads up plenty of stacks but then they never tick for damage. If you have the option to go ice blast over burn, I would do that.

Burn is designed to take advantage of either Blast like Lyle or Zrac or dispel like Araces or Asch

Well first off why is crown on your tank… his accuracy is trash

He should have banner or scarab. Crown should be on dane

Vicuc should have book not mirror

Adolphus should have tiara not pipe

Stats on horrus arent bad, sigrid could use to be on platinum knight set

Dane needs more accuracy but give him crown should be fine there

you'd never survive venom 9 etc relying on a tank to land defense down

Also, theory crafting makes Deverick seem like a great option for the world boss thelendor. Buff dispel that is pretty reliable, and can overlap atk down over the ult and one battle skill

and idk about adrie but the way most skills are worded it would apply to every hit of ult

Can someone please suggest a team for me that will let me defeat any elemental dungeon on lvl 4? It is about impossible to get the crystals for my heros to push past 90 when I'm only able to do lvl 3 of elemental dungeons. Just need one combo to break through initially, then probably the others will follow. Here is what I'm working with. Thanks!

Any elemental dungeon or all? The two types associated with that dungeon receive extra damage and are generally not recommended.

But what you should do for stuff like this is sort on the dual-affinity and then post teams
