adolphus is an offheal and massive massive barrier, useful in every content with fire/poison

biggest shield in game, and shield doesnt count as a buff so cant be dispelled normally

so essentialyl takes the place of an actual healer because you just dont take the damage

which allows frurbath heal over time to max your hp out, so you dont need to waste a slot on actual heals

that's a sweet combo, lock it in for everywhere

issue is you want someone to apply defense break and frurbath there can be your debuffer... so you build khrysos tanky with banner and let frurb hold remains/crown for defense break.

but you also had journ, so he could be debuffer there instead though...

so really it is a decision on how to build your team synergy, but either of them would work with defense break since they both do single hit ults - so will have same chance to land

you just using errich for your damage there... there are better options for fire/poison in vortex but if you doing story that's fine

i hesitate to scroll him though because you so early you could pull any of the other fire legos and instant replace him for single target damage.... felicity, caspar, flora... even tonalfan the epic is better single target dps

wellby will do good damage for you as a secondary dps. he will out damage your main character for sure; main character falls off mid game and is more utility than anything

gulende and eurion in both teams for sure; zharloth secondary heals for frost team - and you can judge if you need zhar or not and replace with usha for more dps; on the necro team it is stupid damage... scharlach and lelwanis going to destroy things. you invis them with thia and stick eurion out front to tank; thia and gulende heal and keep debuffs off everyone. your summoners basically never take damage and destroy from a distance.

meggan can also sub in on either team as a second/third heal if you need. rava is your main frost applier for usha/drizzt and ranged dps. you have to be careful because with melee dps, you risk losing them in heavy hitting bosses... either of those teams can work in arena too

and you can even be more annoying in arena and slap questa in there instead of rava and go drizzt + questa behind eurion or lucien and have gulende heals/debuffs.

drizzt aoe is stupid strong oneshot in arena and questa disables main dps on enemy team if they are low hp

basically all ranged except horrus, he doesnt use ult so he just walks forward and gathers gobs for you to kill with aoe

venom super easy with your units. meggan up top orb, horrus in front built full defense and hp with banner artifact, sigrid straight back from horrus in the back, heksandra just below horrus to draw fire from bottom orb and boss aoe (she needs to be tanky enough to survive that) + fire MC; just use sigrid as debuffer and give her crown artifact for defense break; main character will be your dps in that situation (sigrid more accuracy build)

i use him endgame, but depending on what you pull he can be replaceable. he is a snowball style kit, meaning the more wild checks occur in the team, the more his damage goes up... so you want to pair him with other wild heroes. he is also AOE on both battle skill and ultimate - typically this means the damage is low per hit but adds up and hits multiple enemies in an area; he is good against a single target in that all the hits go and hit that target so all the damage is on 1; but against multiple enemies he isnt the best, since the area hits are random. He is a good hero, but there is a reason he is free for everyone 🙂

she can self rally enable, which makes her nice... but she needs to hit 2+ targets with her skills or she is trash... so be warned, she is terrible against bosses that are by themselves. nimbus is single target damage only but does not need another dauntless in team to be good... i recommend him over martina, but just realize his limitation is against multiple enemies.

probably a stat check. you need good accuracy to land the heal debuff from letalis or sigrid on the boss so that while he's in the air, he isnt healing... that is pretty critical. you need to prevent that healing or he will outlast you. otherwise, focus on getting letalis and sigrid damage up; make sure you are eating food that increases accuracy and attack, etc.

i dont know what you have to recommend you one. the best tanks in each element are: irma/edgar (dark), dallbam (ice), horrus/isolde (fire), gareth (pioson)... the rest i dont like that are epic or rare

rhash is a single target dps, he isnt swapping in for adolphus lol; you can replace errich with him if you want, but you'd probably be better off swapping out fire tank and putting in rhash to get more damage quickly 🤷‍♂️ depends on what you want to do or what works better

first fire dude, epic... instant scroll and build him go.

your dark/frost team is decent but i dont really like olgan... i prefer rava > dorkruz

for frost enablers... so maybe hold off on scrolling olgan and hope you get one of them

usable team but very melee heavy and no cleanse

deverick is the dark minotaur and he's amazing, gotta build him as your primary attack debuffer for dark and frost teams, and honestly he can be used almost everywhere in a non-affinity team as a primary attack down debuffer. pair him with voresh in arena, stick a tank in front, bring sigrid and people die.

in fact that is your new defense team in arena.... deverick, adolphus, sigrid, voresh, dallbam/horrus (i like dallbam better here since he doesnt die instantly if taken to 1hp)

another unit you need to build asap is vicuc, the poison healer top left... he's instant plug and play in your vortex team since when you get to vortex IV, you need to cleanse defense down on your whole team every turn. gotta have a cleanse.

now radiant/thunder i have some meh news for you here...... i know you want philto to be amazing, but without a true rally enabler, he just wont be. alvis also isnt my favorite rally enabler of the 4 big ones... he's prob #4 on my list

that said, he can work very well with philto if you want to go all in on him. but other meh issue for your radiant team is lack of a real tank... you have the thunder tank naguk you can use with them, but honestly i dont really like him that much. all he does is self defense up 1, which is meh and he has a nice stun aoe around himself for crowd control purposes - which is nice... but not in endgame boss content where bosses are immune to control 🤣 so i wouldnt be scrolling that dude.

you could build kamari as your thunder/light tank.... but he does lack in debuffs and his his real strength is resurrecting dead allies or as a single target heal for a weak ally. not great in boss fights where if you have someone who is dead or close to dead, it is likely EVERYONE is around the same hp% and about dead too...... so he just is more of an arena offtank and not really pve friendly imo

so bad news is you really dont have a tank for a thunder or radiance team... which means you really dont have a vortex team at all there. you do have excellent units in irina, iola as debuffers, damage from philto and martina, healing in enna and quarion.. niche buff strip from grover for curse dungeon and you have the 2 dauntless i've used the entire time i've played (shagrol and nimbus), which have carried me pretty far in vortex... but without a tank, cant really use them.

so that said, for vortex i'd go back to that fire/poison or frost team... frost might even be the better bet here since you cant avoid getting hit anyway, so may as well embrace the melee... which means olgan, dallbam, usha, deverick, meggan/zharloth... zhar prob the better healing there i think

but with requiring your debuffer to be its own unit and not a tank here like so many other tanks offer you, you lose that extra healing slot... and again no tank that can heal either, so again you have to bring a healer.... i'm just not sure how long your frost/necro team lasts in vortex. might be ok but may not.

so then back to poison or hybrid team.... vicuc, adolphus, horrus, sigrid (accuracy build) and maybe SHINK.... which he is not circled but is theoretically an interesting play here... because poison does 0.5% per stack of the enemy's HP up to 30% of your hero's attack stat, you build him heavcy accuracy, super high attack and then as much crit% and attack speed/skill haste..... he is very gear hungry so idk if it'll work, plus you'd have to scroll him to make him max effectiveness.... but he could theoretically stack poison to 8 stacks very quickly and maintain it. vortex boss has an obscene amount of HP so basically you are doing 30% of your shink's attack stat every poison tick (5 seconds) in addition to the damage you are actually dealing in hits. again, this is theoretically and could end up being wasteful on resources - poison stackers are honestly better off going with other poison stackers so the stacks stay put over time; so just 1 in your team isnt really super effective.....

you could try sigrid on accuracy to land that attack down debuff and be offdps, and then bring eli on high attack/enlightenment setup

use shink + eli maybe so shink supplies the poison stacks for eli's damage to shine

but you'd still need vicuc and adolphus, so idk where your attack down and tank is in that team either....

i'd say go in on the normal banner 5 at a time and just evaluate what you get after each pull. dont go too ham, but you cant go wrong either

i'd go until you get 2 legendaries and then buy scrolls with your wyrmarrow so you can use them (if they are worth scrolling)

but if you pull her, plug her in there with irma as tank + 2 summoners and meggan when you get her (she's a rare, easy peasy to get)

for frost you are missing rava or dorkruz frost appliers... when you get one of those two, build that frost team asap! usha is a top tier dps and you have a lego tank!

in fact you can use lucien to tank that dark team i described too

for goblins, build litalis, the dude at bottom in hoodie that is poison... letalis + eli + sigrid + horrus (skills turned off) + dane and you have yourself a 5/5 affinity goblin team

venom is the easest of those, and you do have a team for curse auto but you'd have to build grover

heksandra up top in front of top orb to draw its attention; horrus in middle, adolphus just underneath horrus to draw attack from bottom orb, sigrid far back from horrus at the back straight on to target boss only, voresh back bottom and 1 square forward from the back row

voresh holds your crown for defense break

have some accuracy on sigrid so she lands attack break

or honestly you have dane, just use dane in place of voresh nevermind...

that way you can use full damage stats on sigrid and let dane land attack break

plus 5/5 affinity. super easy peasy trust me. positioning is key

just build horrus all defense and hp and put banner on him, he stands there and you win

get team to 100 and you can auto venom 9 with them

rot is another easy one... horrus up front, sigrid and letalis for heal prevents... adolphus for shields, heksandra for heals. sigrid does your attack break on boss and you can put book on letalis for defense down so sigrid can hold damage artifact

basically just outlast it. vicuc is actually a better healer there than heksandra by far because he will cleanse both debuffs and heal you...... and he attack down with his battle skill. he's huge.

You need to position in a way tank and maybe another healthy melee unit absorb his ult. The other melee unit can be positioned around so his knock up only hits the tank.
So basically spread out your team something like

SIGRID X X HEKSANDRA
X X X X
X X X FRUBARTH
ELI X X X
X X LETHALIS X

I think if that works properly cause I have bad imagination, it will make Ripekas hit Fru only, and use ultimate on Fru and Heksandra.

Since Hek should be built quite healthy, she wouldn't mind that much being hit frequently

Hence why you need 6 teams overall.

Tho the first week you can perfectly mix units within the same affinity if you feel they'll allow you to do more damage.

Seems like easiest bosses are Auster (you can perfectly use Fru, Tonalnan, Erich, Vicuc and another DMG dealer for this one)
Dispel frost after his ult and you may do fine

Give the candle to Vicuc with a blue set which increases acurracy and skill haste, also a small boost to attack for friendly units. Handle his ult so you get the def down de buff cleansed.
If you want a little bit more survival use Hek perfectly. While wait for Adolphus.

tbh i found putting durango in a raw dps build with accuracy to be more effective for damage on poison boss personally

my team is isolde / heksandra / eli / sigrid / durango with fulltime atk penalty2 and durango does most of the damage for a 25m run

this is my venom setup; my back row just targets harpy whole time from range; and because i have frurbath in that position near garius, the lower orb targets frurb and the aoe from boss hits frurb and garius only; which means the only ones taking damage are those two and meggan a tid bit from the upper orb.

means i only have to worry about garius round 1 with that defense down and big single target hits

but once oyu get the stats right, you click auto and it is 100% win rate, same thing every time

i used to use tonalfan instead of felicity here also so it can be 100% f2p team

she's weird; her kit is melee and offheals but ultimate reduction. i'm not sure how ult reduction works outside of pvp on bosses... but her offheal dps is nice, and she is tanky. i dont like a lot of melee dps against dungeon bosses that have short range aoe like venom. she could be useful in curse or rot i suppose, because she is single target... because she is a jumper though, i wouldnt use her in dungeons with adds since she will hop to lowest current hp (the adds are always lower than the boss), slowing you down.

so personally, i'd say no go on her for pve unless you dont have good choices and she's already scrolled

Also @mental thunder I’m trying to optimize my main frost team. Which would you use? Currently using Auster, Dork/Rava (with witch remains), Usha, Hochadir, Megan. I like Hochadir for the synergy but I feel like he’s not an adequate tank sometimes.

The reason he isnt adequate is because you have no attack down lol

Only need 1 dps, drop usha since she is melee and go auster only; bring eurion up front, rava OR hocha, deverick (necro minotaur debuffer), meggan or zharloth

I lean hocha because he buffs austers attack a lot but might need to go rava to keep focus on front line and spread out healer and dps/debuffs. But depending on boss having 2 melee immediately focuses all aoe right on the tank and hocha so you can heal eaiser

You can use radiance with thunder you know… nathaniel, ichiucatl, irina, enna, grover you already have leveled. The bottom right tank girl is ok if you dont have thunder or radiance tanks
