Why ?
Because boss weapon from ROG are useless for the clan cup ladder (boss weapon must be the strongest weapon for fast boss kill)
I think the bonus could be add 10% for no boss monster (you can propose other idea)

They fill different niches kind of don't they? Boss weapons always work against bosses, OW weapons only when you have the relevant quest and only for as long as it takes to complete the quest? Or do they work differently

OW only when you have the quest but with this mechanics you must have a OW weapon in order to trust the top 10 rank for clan cup... boss weapon are less faster than OW + quest.

Aaaah I see gotcha
Maybe they could make it so that it applies a damage bonus to monsters NOT weak to the type of damage the weapon does
So that after you get a OW weapon you can use it for whatever more or less
But it still won't out damage something specialized like boss weapons or other OW weapons against the monsters actually weak to the damage type
