no way to see list of sell prices. no way to search or buy anything after you filled 6 slots. harder to use in general and completely useless now.

not entirely useless, but i'm disappointed. the market was a game of it's own. one could trawl through and gobble up deals, and flip.
sure, ya could do the same now, but it requires many more clicks to configure a purchase, accept, then cancel the BuyOrder , and crawl onto the next item of inquiry

I like it definitely better and I can see the vision behind it
The market isn’t “ruined” there is room for improvement tho

Tbh, i think not much is needed to make it way better. first of all a way to select an item and see its current order book, which lists buy and sell orders with price and amounts. a way to click the orders, to either sell to or buy from for that price, filling out the create order part for you, like in every lets say crypto exchange. just copy if from there and it will be fine. and then some quick links from the items context menu, to reach that page with the trade info. Having sell and buy orders, is definitely better than the original store based approach, just copy the interface from games that have it, like eve online, or albion online and everything should be fine.

It’s a good idea but implemented very poorly.

#

Like 99% of people don’t like it.

I don't buy the fact that it is a good idea that was implemented poorly. It's just flat out an awful system. It is far more time consuming and really frustrating to operate

  1. The fact that I have to "collect" the money is ridiculous. I already agreed to sell that item for that price, why make me spend more time clicking to get the gold and actually sell the item?
  2. Now I cant see what anything is listed for. If I want to buy an item for 500 and it is listed for 515, before I would just buy at 515. Now I have to wait for someone to list it for my target price. Going to make obtaining items in a quick manner impossible.
  3. Easy to manipulate system. I easily can manipulate the sell prices. If I just go in and list Dragon Fruit seeds for 1m each, I can have my alt buy it and drive prices up. It also makes all the data available (the only even remotely positive thing in the update) meaningless since the data will be wrong nearly 100% of the time.

I am not sure how to fix the system as it is currently. It is pretty much bad all the way around. Reverting it to the way it was before the update looks like the most attactive option

I meant the data tracking and whatnot is a good thing. But again, this seems half assed. So many other games have already figured out how to have decent market situations.

#

They were going in the right direction but ruined it.

These where my suggestions to make it better

#

There is tons more room for improvement

It’s just a matter getting used to it the market was the same for the entirety of the game up to this point I hope tho in the near future small patches improve the market in its current state

im not

#

bring old market back
and then add the buy order thing as separate thing.
thats the solution to this.

Yes, legacy shop should still be possible, this new system makes market even more anoying

New new shop is good. Stop complaining about buttons not being where they used to be. We got more info and easier management now. The only thing I can complain about is the slots for buy and sell offers are shared. I'd loke to have at least one slot reserved for instant buys instead of having to cancell a sell offer to buy something

hallow light
#

i have no need for instant buys, i love checking the market and buying from variety of options. old market was way easier and faster to manage and use.

Old market was awesome. New market is pain.

call me biased but I liked knowing who I was buying from

#

id overpay a bit on some items if I saw a clanmate, current or ex , or someone I ran raids with trying to sell something

fair jungle
#

Yeah same here!

Same

  • I cannot buy anything because I'm trying to sell stuff... xD
  • I can't even look up prices of items because I have 6 listed items :/

easy example of how cursed is the market

#

the price of gold bar was at 70-80 beofre the update, yesterday, it still was at 80. lowest seller was at 80, lowest buyer was at 54. price today is 54

for trading history i miss seeing the price I purchased at without having to do math

#

Like, what price did I purchase these at? Obviously you can do the math but it's kind of lame it doesn't just put it out there plainly

# fair jungle Not the point..

Someone is calling the market cursed by looking at an item with virtually 0 market cap, and with the price they're complaining about being purely determined by 2 sell offers totaling 750k coins, i'd say it's relevant.

fair jungle
frigid rover
#

well then they should've given a better example, a market that you can increase by 30% by spending 750k isn't a stable market worth looking at or mentioning.

fair jungle
#

Nah, u are missing the point

frigid rover

i'm getting the point that that individual person was making, and it was a stupid one

This market is good for sniping cheap stuff from less knowledgeable or impulsive sellers. It is straight downgrade and worse to use compared to what we had before.

It definitely affected market prices, anyone who tells you otherwise is delusional. I have been eating up cheap sales, the pricing is volatile. Because sales are also public advertised, it's become a trend based economy. The market needs time to recover and then we can possibly see pricing becoming steady again.... maybe
