reading and using gives same xp. it just shows diferently cuz of boost and enchants and ancient pots will show reading as more.

there is no actual xp difference between using and reading

np np. yeah either way its the same xp. i don't know what new suggestion would be. maybe more vendor value per enchant on it but that would also make people use instead of read and mess up jewelery market for starting players.
