#Simulate Archery Kiting w/o x amount of hits missing, generic.

@deep prawn So, Let's say in order to 'Kite', archery defense needs to meet an XP threshold. 70 as an example.

When you hit this threshold, you can now 'kite'. This allows for you a 'bow wielder', every 3rd shot to 'push' the enemy away, slowing their attack speed by 2x or by 2% (whichever works).

Once the mob is slowed (for 1 attack), their next attack has a chance to deal minimum dmg " 1 " and the second attack is a 100% success crit, at .5x dmg. As they would be rushing to you to hit. In order for this to land, they have to actually hit with a defense check as per normal.
If they miss the 2nd hit, you crit for .5x dmg as a 'range bonus'

This simulates a kite (moving away from the mob, for others who are reading this) , without just x/hits miss. and still allows you to deal dmg at the same time

You're welcome! I don't think there is much else in the way of a 2D environment that I can see at least, which can simulate kiting.

Since we only have hit chance and damage as sliders, this works within the confines of all the systems right now and numbers could be tweaked to be fair.

On current end game mobs before bosses, black dragons, its rare to have a fight go longer than 7 attacks on my end, so your numbers are probably close.

I like the simulated spacing between the mob and player, and maybe think the added crit potential is too much at all but is also a neat idea for a perk or enhancement/archery unlock

yeah, maybe not crit, but some kind of spacing bonus that isn't just a free defense boost. or 1 extra max hit or something of the sort. There has to be a reward and a punishment here, otherwise it's not balanced.

if given some more time, I could probably think of other cool stuff like this for mage too
