Hi, this is my first ability concept
I've been holding this concept for 2 or 3 years
Reason: I got bored of Ability Wars and some abilities looked like Paint (example: Midas and pirate), so I gave up many times doing it
But now I feel very comfortable and confident about Paint ability
I love drawing and painting that's why I loved making this ability

Anyways, let's get started!

Requirements: 🔓

35K punches + "Helping an artist" badge

Achievement: 🏅

"Helping an artist"
In the Astral world, there will be an easel with a blank canvas
The player needs to collect 5 items and put in the stone in front of the easel
(1°-2° images)

  • Apple (Tree or engineer)
  • Gel
  • Crystal
  • Cake
  • Moss
    (3° image)
    Putting all in the stone, the player gets the badge

Extra things about the achievement:

  • The player can die and will not reset the progress
  • The blank canvas gets a drawing of the object placed on the rock
  • The player can place items in any order

  • Cosmetic Brush 🖌️: a brush in the back of the player like Malice sword

Abilities: ✨

E/X: (Ink rain) 🌧️

  • 18 cooldown
  • The player grabs the brush and swings from down to up, throwing 2/6 giant ink drops to 6/24 studs, each drop does 5 damage and do not knockback
  • You can charge it by holding E/X, The drops and studs increase depending on how long the player held.
  • The drops have 4x2 hitbox
  • 0.65 seconds of Windup
  • Click E: 2 drops and 8 studs
  • Hold (max 3.65 seconds): 6 drops 24 studs
  • The ability is cancelled if the player gets punched while holding E
  • Each drop makes an ink poll (4.5 studs)

Q/B: (Brush swing / Brush spin)

Q has two varieties: swing and spin

Swing (click Q): 🖌️

  • 22 Cooldown
    • 6 studs in total (Close 1.5, Far 4.5)
    • (Close) Does 20 dmg in 1.5 studs and knock back
    • (Far) Does 5 damage and DON'T knockback
    • "Far" studs get paint by ink

Spin(hold Q): 🌪️

- 28 Cooldown
- Need to hold for 3 seconds to activate 
- The player gets 45% slower while holding
- Cancelable if Player gets ragdoll by any way while holding but reduces damage by 25%
- 4.5 studs in total (Close 1.5 studs, Far 3 studs)
- (Close) does 22 damage and knockback
- (Far) don't do damage only paint
- The player can move while spinning
- Last for 2 seconds
- The player gets 15% more speed while spinning
- All studs get pain by ink

R/Y: (Ink dive) 🤿

  • 0.5 Cooldown
  • Basically, the player dives in ink
  • (New) 0.55 seconds of wind up
  • While diving, the player gets Iframes
  • The player gets +25% speed while diving
  • The player can climb painted walls
  • The player ONLY can dive in ink
  • (New) Soap, bubble and custom cloud can wash ink with their abilities
  • (New) If the player dives into the ink and the ink is wiped off, the player gets forced out of the ability and gets 50% more dmg of the ability used @cyan orbit's ideas

Ink pools: 🫟

  • All ink from abilities lasts 10 seconds before disappearing (each ink pool has its own live time)
  • Ink polls does 15% speed nerf to enemies if they touch it

Extras: ➕

  • E and Q can paint walls
  • The player spawns with a random color (Red, Blue or Yellow)
  • The other Paint players have different colors than the user (example: the player got red, then the others would have blue or yellow) THAT ONLY APPLIES TO THE VISION OF THE PLAYER
  • Themes affect Paint and the other paint players have the opposite of their color (Example: the player has 100% 55% 25%, then the enemies paint abilities would have 0% 45% 75% like what happens with magnet mastery) Players without Paint will see your color plus Red,blue and yellow from the non-themes

Especial rule for Paint ability: 📘

  • If the user paints something wrong (Nsfw, controversial, etc.)
    They'll get banned

Old concepts about Paint

Recent old concept (2025)

Requirements and "helping an artist" badge

  • 37500 punches + badge
  • Same way to get badge but instead of moss and gel would be pizza and voodoo doll

ability set:

  • Same cosmetic passive

  • E/X would be swing

  • 15 seconds cooldown

  • 2 studs instead of 1.5

  • no "far" hitbox and studs

  • applied "painted" effect

  • 20 dmg

  • Q/B would be a slam

  • 14.5 seconds cooldown

  • 3x3 circle area attack

  • Put an "ink pool" on the ground
    - Slows enemies by 40%, 2x2 area and duration of 12 seconds

  • 15 dmg

  • R/Y

  • 12.5 seconds cooldown

  • Send 4 projectiles each doing 5 dmg (20 dmg of total

  • "Painted" effect

  • players affected get 10% slower and covered by ink

  • You would choose your ink color

Just found out about this (before discovering this i made a simpler one for 650ish punches, titled paint/paintball ability)
Anyway my suggestion is to make the paint rain deal bonus damage if the initial swing directly hits a player.
Doing so will instantly do a 15% speed nerf for 5 seconds, 15 damage, and 1.5x normal punch knockback and stun.
(bonus suggestion: paint could use a blinding effect that adds an image of a paint splat that covers a small portion of the screen. This could be activated when hit by the paintbrush, paint glob, and AOE when exiting the ink dive)
