OBTAINMENT - Kill 5 times the Tree boss.

Award: Badge "Tree hunter" and Farmer Mastery

Farmer Mastery

Passive: In the upper corner of the screen there will be a backpack, when you click it you will get a Seed packet that will generate a random Crop. You will also have a craft to merge crops

Natural Crops:
-All from the unmastered version

-Apple tree(Fruit Recovers 15 Hp)

-Pepper(Speed effect and Lose hp)

-Bean(When thrown on the ground it creates 5 Thorns like a Beanstalks that cause 9 dmg)

-Tomato(When it hits a player, the tomato stays in the camera causing a blind)

-Bamboo(It becomes a rotating weapon, Able to knock players away and deal double damage)

-Peanut(Recover Hp and gives strength effect)

-Hive Tree(A tree with honeycomb and bees, nearby players are attacked by bees and if you break the honeycomb the slippery ragdoll honey falls to the ground.

-Pea(It becomes a gun that shoots 5 peas)

-Sunflower (when thrown, it generates a large sunflower Area that make the player immune to damage for a certain period and gradually recovers health)

-Pumpkin( When thrown on the ground, a pumpkin catches fire and rolls behind players, dealing heavy damage when it hits them)

Corruption Imbuement Crops

-All Crops from the Unmastered Farm

-Tree apple corrupt Generates purple apples(They have a poisonous effect on those nearby)

-Bamboo corrupt When hits it gets bigger and range.

-tomato corrupt can make blindness for a long time

-Corrupt pea Can shoot 10 explosive peas

-Corrupt Pepper can be thrown and burn players

-Corrupt Bean Will Create a beanstalk Catch nearby 2 players and throw them away, causing a big damage

-Corrupt pumpkin When it hits a player, it spawns 4 small corrupt Pumkim that deal damage too.

[E]You generate a chicken or cow.
You can ride the cow and it gives you milk can restore 30% hp when spawned.
And the chicken runs for kill players and drop 2 eggs They can be thrown giving ragdoll and damage.

[Q]You open an area for crafter, and have 2 spaces and 1 of the resulth and 8 energy icons, Clicking with the crops in these spaces you can Merge the crops

  • Energy points make a good limit the creation of food, in total you can get 8 energy points, When you create a craft you spend energy that is requested.

Crafts:

Egg + milk = Cake item(Recovers HP) 2 Energy point⚡

Rice + Pepper = Plate of food(Strength Effect + Speed Effect) 4 Energy points⚡

Banana + Milk = Shake (Recovers Hp) 4 Energy points⚡

Potato + Pumpkin = Hot potato(thrown and explode) 6 Energy points⚡

Bamboo + Carrot = Stick (Can hit, have a good range and damage)
7 Energy points⚡

Cabbage + Pumpkin = Giant Pumpkin(Scroll through the map and 25 dmg If hit) 5 Energy points ⚡

Peanut + Sunflower = Peanut grenade(It explodes in your hand)
4 Energy points⚡

Bread + tomato = pizza (item) 3 Energy points⚡

Hive + tomato= honey pot(Throwable And generates a swarm of bees)
4 Energy points⚡

Bamboo + Pumkim = Burning bamboo(hit and burn And it also breaks after a few uses)
6 Energy points⚡

Bean + Corn = Seed(When thrown, it creates a field of beanstalks that deal simultaneous damage.)
7 Energy points⚡

Tree apple + Tree = big tree(Creates a bigger tree with Apple fruit, Can be obtained)
1 Energy points ⚡

Orange + Watermelon = Red watermelon(A Red watermelon with a defense that explodes enemies when obstructed and Break in 15 seconds)
8 Energy points⚡

Corn + Pea = Corn Gun(Shot 10 Corn)
5 Energy points⚡

Bread + Cabbage = Sandwich(Recovers Full hp) 2 Energy points⚡

Cabbage + Pumpkin = Giant Pumpkin (Rolls behind players 30 dmg If hit)** 8 Energy points⚡

You can get Energy points Eating bread or rice and Killing.

Corrupted Crops cannot be mixed in craft**

Hoe To Corruption Imbuement to Change to Punch

  • Hoe can It is useful for defense, it has a good range and damage

  • Change Will automatically equip the next inventory slot (like engineer Q)

This seems like a convoluted approach to a farmer mastery, like, Great, there's more crops. But also, not only may that be too many crops, it may just make Farmer more complicated than engineer

There's 10 new crops(technically 20 since the corrupted versions exist, but that's just by technicality) not counting any that you craft

There's a lot in this Mastery Idea that i'd say the devs may not commit on doing, like adding a whole crafting system for farmer

sure they're done UI for an ability, defender mastery, but defender mastery is a very complicated mastery

Because like, why would you grow something that actively hurts you? No i do not count something spicy as something that would actively hurt you. Something being spicy is part of the dish, not something like poison.

I like the creativity you have here, but i really don't like the complexity. Sure on my take of a farmer mastery, i do also complicate it by adding two more evil biomes, but the crop amount stays the same, 5 crops being swapped out for 5 others. But here? It complicates a system that already worked by changing the previous e into a passive.

There probably could be more to say about the Balance of the items themselves(like the sandwich only needing two ingredients, costing 2 energy and giving you a full heal?), or just which abilities would now counter farmer, but i don't really dable myself in those topics much

Like sure, i also did make three suggestions(as of writing this), with one being discontinued, but I usually expand on one aspect of an ability for a mastery. That's what i personally think a mastery should do, expand on the original ability, make it more viable to use

But Farmer itself is already a good ability

In case you haven't noticed, i keep mentioning my own take on the farmer mastery, but(obviously) i would think that my take has something that makes it stand above other takes on a mastery of the same ability. There is a bias on my end since i made my own Farmer mastery suggestion, but i do try to give criticism objectively and not subjectively

What i think often balances a mastery compared to it's base form is also what i like to call the opportunity cost

If you use a mastery, chances are it isn't a direct upgrade

There may very well be things that the base version does that the mastery doesn't, and obviously vice versa

#

And so there is the single question that is given

#

Do you use the mastered Ability, and give up what the base version has to itself? Or do you not use the mastered Ability, and stick with the old version, with it's flaws that the mastery may have fixed?

In the game, there are few masteries that are truly a direct upgrade in regards to their base form

#

Cake, Engineer, possibly UFO and probably some others as well. But these usually are direct upgrades, because it was hard or near impossible to not make them direct upgrades, be it through community backlash or just being the fundamental mechanic behind the ability

Engineer's only way to be not a direct upgrade was to remove certain build blocks, but otherwise was unavoidable

#

Cake literally had no choice

#

UFO in the patch before paladin mastery got into this list on a technicality(it's tractor beam got added onto the mastery among other things), but it can be argue'd that the UFO still has some flaws that the other version doesn't have, regarding the UFO itself.

This is why in my take of the farmer mastery, I removed 5 crops from the base lineup

5 crops which may partially be considered the best ones from farmer

#

But in their place, added 5 new crops that while they won't really fill the roles that the old crops left, still are unique in their own right

#

But with all that said, is this game really all about balance? Not really, it's also about fun. So go ahead, suggest ridiculous mastery suggestions and maybe you have the luck of getting to see it in the game, filling the faces of the players with joy
