Have you ever been using engineer and building with pistons and someone in spectator mode keeps turning them on, or turning your radio on? Well, a good fix would be to add a blacklist/whitelist system.
Any player in the server is automatically blacklisted, and blacklisted players cannot sit in your seats, interact with turn on/off buttons, or build in a certain vicinity of your main build. To make sure this feature isn’t abused, a player will have to place a special block on a build of theirs that disallows blacklisted players from building there. You can also make players neutral, which would let them sit in seats and that is it. Whitelisting players will allow them to press buttons, sit in seats, build around your build, and also control the drivers seat. If these rules seem too vague and you’d rather let users have more options, consider implementing a system similar to Lumber Tycoon 2 (if you haven’t heard of it, check it out to see what I mean. If you are confused because you do not often use engineer, the building restriction is because other engineers often grief other engineers, and the new center block is because if there was a big AOE around every block then people could spread out their blocks and prevent others from building at all. You could also make it so people cannot directly build on your structures, however, if you are unable to move for a short amount of time, people could build a box around your build. I think the center block’s diameter should increase by 1 block for every block placed away from its’ center. To prevent people from griefing even with this, like forcing close to someone mid-build, it should not affect people when the driver comes close to them, rather than the person coming close to the driver. If this is too complicated, you should probably just make the hitbox specific to the build, not an AOE.

Then you get knocked out the car
The whole server is at the car
You can't destroy the seat
You lost the car
You have to do another one

It’s pretty annoying, I can’t just cover it if I’m in the process of building it. One time I was building pistons on a sky base and a spectator flew up to me and started spam pressing them and I couldn’t build on them because they kept moving
