UFO Mastery is alright, cus it can be used as a hangout spot, but beyond that there isn't much to it. The problem: most people just reset after becoming alien. The solution: Make it so UFO Mastery users can temporarily grant their aliens ANY ability that they themselves own, and the alien can use it until they die, or leave the game. Because UFO Ability requires the damn operator badge, most people who not just it, but also its Mastery probably also have a LOT of other abilities. This modification give new players an incentive to remain as an alien. Not to mention, that for a new player, it would be a donwright magical experience when you get lucky enough to find a mastery UFO. As a final note, in order to balance this, and prevent UFO mastery users from spawning like, 10 different plasma users, this new power would have restrictions, in the form of player limits, and some abilities being outright blocked. I will list them below.
Restrictions: Only one alien can have Plasma, stardust, railgun, berserker, quantum, cosmos, OR pirate (meaning one instance of one of these abilities) No God Punch, no Custom, 2 DOS limit (2 instead of 1 because the dynamic of a DOS team is cool, and 2 is the second lowest number) No Hivemind (bc UFO mastery itself is the minion master here) 1 HOJ limit.

Mine is much more simple, is arguably more fun, and would (hopefully) be a lot easier to code.

I think both my and their ideas have their merits. I won't say my idea is better than their's, because obviously that'd be biased.
That being said, in my opinion Something like that would be better suited for hivemind than for UFO Mastery.
My take: Hivemind should get minion classes, and then my idea goes to UFO. Once again, share any thought you have.
