I don't know if this is a bug because what the barrels give are pushed effect so I think the shield does this on purpose maybe to prevent like jiro pushes.

Also shield doesn't work with any push things like jump pads as well might just be an intended feature.

you can use the shield bag on jumppads

I was in storm with shield bag equipped and it didn't launch me I thought it was part of the item so I didn't capture any screenshots or im delusional when it didn't launch me up when standing directly on it.
