I'd like to see more focus on events. One day I'd like to login to bap and see overlapping events popping off like shown in the screenshot.

  1. 4 battlepass seasons per year with ranked season reset, new champ, new interactables, map updates.
  2. Holiday battlepasses that repeat each year for new year, spring, summer, fall, winter, valentines, etc. With holiday specific map decorations, mobs, etc.
  3. Weekly one-day tournaments with in game rewards for individual and competitive achievement.
  4. Player created events where players can offer fractals and gold rewards.
  5. Dev created events with fractals and gold rewards.
#

Each battlepass and event would have its own reward and ranking screen when you click it. Rewards would also be shown for event objectives like top 10% get 500 fractals, top 20% get 200 fractals, etc.

Holidays and events would show what modifiers they are adding. Rewards would also be shown for holiday objectives like top 10% get 500 fractals, top 20% get 200 fractals, etc.

Since the holiday events repeat each year you could make them simple to start and have time to build on their foundation each year.

For players who completed holiday battlepass in past years they could earn substitute gold and fractals.

Mockup of player event creation screen. Player could choose their event banner, objective, and reward. There could be minimums like 500 fractals for event creation. Events could get more features the higher value rewards you offer like choosing map mods for instance. Devs could take % of fractals if needed.

Dunno what you are on about they are all monetization opportunities that would help the devs

An important part of the way it's proposed is to automate as much possible and minimize dev time. Dunno how database works right now but each game stats could be stored in database. An event would have start-datetime, end-datetime, objective, reward and collect stats for all games with start-datetime in the event range for it's reporting. Winners would be determined and rewards distributed automatically.

If you guys have to manually reset database, manually start or end events, manually determine winners and manually distribute rewards etc (some of which I sense is going on right now) it won't scale and will be continual pain point.

The proposed idea would allow events to overlap and create interesting dynamics. Maybe season 1 adds some map modifiers. Maybe halloween adds some map modifiers. Games started in season 1, halloween overlap would sum all ongoing event modifiers before rolling the random ones you guys added.

#

Example:
Season 1 mods:
• 20% increased gold rewards
• 20% increased fishing rewards

Halloween mods:
• Shops offer bonus treat
• Juices are Pumpkin Spice
• 20% shops are Witch Shops
• 20% objects are Halloween themed
• 20% monsters are Halloween themed

Game in this period could have:
• 20% increased gold rewards
• 20% increased fishing rewards
• Shops offer bonus treat
• Juices are Pumpkin Spice
• 20% shops are Witch Shops
• 20% objects are Halloween themed
• 20% monsters are Halloween themed
• Meteor
• Gold Rush

#

This way you don't have to hand design maps per event or season. But all maps will dynamically have event or seasonal effects applied.

Polygon is doing overlapping events nice.
Similar to my suggestion.
