I'm told I have kickbug. It says "Unable to connect to game session." or "Unable to join a game you were kicked from." when I try to join my friend(s).

Forward ports 80, 88 and 3074 (in both TCP and UDP) in your router setup. More information and tutorial about port-forwarding can be found here: https://bit.ly/2YzYKMv. Then, check if your ports are actually open using programs like Port Forward Network Utilities. If they are shown closed, your modem IP may be in CGNAT which prevents you from opening ports. To check if your modem is in CGNAT, open PowerShell as administrator, type tracert <Your Public IP> (You can find your public IP from here: https://www.whatismyip.com/) and press Enter.If the list of traces is longer than 1 line, your modem IP is in CGNAT (Example: https://imgur.com/a/PulVhj1). You can contact your Internet Service Provider to have your modem removed from CGNAT, although it's not guaranteed to work. You may need to pay for static IP offered by your ISP if calling them doesn't work.

i had some thing. my wifi doesnt have a static ip so i couldnt port forward but i found a way to create one. i followed this video to make a static ip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSHunPYosi0 then i was able to go to my router settings on the router website and port forward was successful. if anyone cant port forward due to not static ip. try this :)
