Been watching movement mastery and gunfight hygiene vids, but I'm starting to think that I'm overwhelming myself. Just looking for any mechanical tips

sometimes you just stare at them for a second with out doing anything. Why?
uhh i wanna say it's bc im trying to wait til my crosshair is on their head
dosent work like that you shouldnt visuarly confirm that it is on the target. You should be aware of the target: position and movement. After that you make a microadjustment and click. when people refer to "rushing shots" they normaly refer to you not taking your time to properly process the target. In some cases there can also be an issue with making the microadjustment to fast/with to much tension leading to it beeing unpercise.
Just do it in this order:
see
flick
shoot
This is ofcorse assuming that the target is close enough to you crosshair to make a microadjustment.
word, yeah i'm just trying to break the habit of autopilot crouch spray
ok if this is a result of the focus on that its ok for the time your still working on the crouching
while that's true it does take a bit to learn it, and see flick shoot is when you can actually reliably flick shoot. When learning sometimes it kinda looks more like "flick confirm flick confirm shoot"
because you're kinda just practicing aim
honestly I think it's just that you're still working on it right now, don't think you need a vod review yet.
I used to have aim that bad and when I started trying to take my time to confirm shots sometimes I would quite literally "forget to shoot".
not literally forget but of course when you focus a lot on it sometimes it gets a little weird because you're practicing a mechanic you're completely not used to.
Genuinely I would say to keep doing what you're doing and get that practice down, then you can speed it up.
If you want, you can always try to push yourself to be just slightly faster, to get that muscle memory down. Of course, if you start missing a ton of shots tone it back.
would yall just recommend more DMs?
