hey! your technique is actually really good for your rank, it's rather your raw aim that isn't the best as you have difficulty hitting moving things and enemies in general when your pre aim is off but you said in your previous post that your arm is in a different position now because there was something wrong with how it used to be and you also said you think it makes you aim worse. could you elaborate on that? i honestly can't really imagine more than one way to put my arm on my desk.
Awesome I’ll get back to aim training then I have been kinda slacking on that. Basically I had gotten used to playing with pretty much just my wrist and a tiny bit of arm on the table and the rest sloped downwards off it and I didn’t realize that wasn’t normal until I told my friend how I played so now I am trying to get used to a good amount of my arm on the table with only elbow off as I see most players have it but I have been playing the other way on all my games and aim training like that for a while
I appreciate the advice I finally know what the problem is so I’m back to doing Vt VDIM and im just wondering do you think i should do labs and dm or just focus labs?
can you please link your tracker?
much appriciated
beats me i never tried vdim but probably both since in game practice is also valuable? i think hooj tells you to dm as practice not just warmup but i'm too lazy + i hate dming for more than 2-3 games
please do explain
but really, it is not easy to improve if you play sporadically: it is better to play 1-3 matches a day instead of playing 8 matches in a single day
I have had bad ranked anxiety for a while and I didn’t really hop on but last week I realized I have to play more so I have been trying to
I also have ranked anxiety, so I understand, but this is your dm matches, so it doesn't apply
you should end every session with playing about 2-3 dms, focusing on having good technique whilst also having haste
that should help your mechanics in the long run
also, a bit of a side on the vod you sent:
whilst I really like that you are very patient and ensure that your shots are hitting, you also need to:
- Incorporate deadzoning on the first bullet when you are not on target. This will drastically increase the odds of winning disadvantageous gunfights
- Have a bit more haste when shooting: your accuracy is high, and as such, you can afford to increase the speed a bit. There are times where you stand still to aim, instead of firing upon stopping, and other times where you are simply slow to both react and A (banned word :<).
Deadzoning like in between strafes if I’m not on them?
deadzone if you are not close to instakilling the target when you first are going to stop.
Example 1: suppose there is an enemy close to your crosshair when you peek a corner. You should click on them normally.
Example 2: suppose there is an enemy far away from your crosshair, and you woulnd't be able to kill them within reasonable time. Then you should deadzone a bullet, and then proceed to burst on them normally.
I recommend you watch the movement guide that Hooj has, which includes how to use deadzoning.
I think I already watched it but the info didn’t stick and these examples help to clear it up a lot actually but I’ll watch it again ty
np
does this look like deadzoning?
you are aiming too slow
a deadzone needs to be like 50% hitrate speed
yeah, and make sure it is in a timely manner
it is essentially the macro-flick you do when you aim on a far away opponent, but with a click added in
