#Best way to carry on Jett? Jett Gold 1 Ascent

It's been around a month since I made the switch from Reyna to Jett officially and it's been a blast. Took me a bit but after improving crosshair placement and getting used to not having heals / dismiss, I enjoy Jett more because I get more impactful kills and I carry more consistently. A new issue though, I carry more and it tends to cost me rounds and even games. I think my issue is I put myself in really risky situations to get frags for my team, and if I end up dying it costs the round because the team can't always clutch up or sustain numbers advantage. But, you guys tell me. Any notes or help is much appreciated.

Round 1 - Sheriff buy on attack is generally unoptimal, Hooj has been recommending the frenzy meta lately you can try it out. ghost smoke is the most popular buy since the smoke allows you to create that space on site when you dash into it for your entry, which is also where the frenzy shines, when you get hit by the yoru flash the first time, super super super minor but a high elo jett dashes left there since you are safer, I wouldnt worry about that too much though.
Round 2 - peeked long range with a classic while shift walking, perhaps the worst way to peek that angle. WHJ says to take fights with the classic as you would a shorty
Round 3 - you can mitigate deaths like these by using movement to assist your aim and hurt theirs, you were tapping anyway so may as well strafe too
Round 4 - primed dash too early, once sova starts using utility or skye calls a flash or something I would prime dash off of my team's util,

Round 5 - Why no headshot lineup for main here stand in the corner at the hut and aim here at head height ( i use my teammates to line it up at the start if you arent sure) and then if you dont move your mouse at all its a perfect shot right here

just use A to walk into the angle it should be good

Round 6 - you are too far back at site take, you are 3rd in when you should be first or second, if anything, call to killjoy to let you in first. I get that you are newer to jett, so you should be vod reviewing pro jett players to see how they entry site. you just dashed in blindly and if somebody is playing retake off of reyna blinds you are laid tf out. Most jett players throw smoke and dash into it while looking around like crazy for info

think you noticed the position error, you could be pushed from 3 sides, CT main and market

love the jett ult push into their spawn, but since you looked back main you had to flick back to looking CT, and there is totally a chance you get timinged from that

Round 7 - this entry is better, my bad for assuming you might have not done your homework at all, but you still dont look around a lot while dashing, and as long as an average speed sens, you should be able to do it, dont worry about actually seeing the enemies, since you are dashing into a smoke you can just look at the minimap while dashing
you dont need to hold main from lane, theres a turret flank anyway, i would be jiggling CT from stairs or overheating with my reyna
Round 8 - psychotic dash I love it. be careful when walking out of your smokes though, you can use your minimap to figure out where you wanna go

you identify 3 here and 4th is probably lurking up somewhere, you find that guy main killing you lol
I dont like walking into site there, since its just too risky considering you know that there are 3. Just jump spot the chamber to bait the shot and sent it maybe even updraft to make yourself a harder target and pray you make it back to catwalk

Round 8 - NS
when you run lane since you see cypher cages my mind is screaming there are trips near, and you know this guy uses the odin. call reyna flash into site then updraft over into site but its all good your sova is him
Round 9 - RADIANT SHERIFF SKIN
primed dash too early again

if your goal is to carry you wanna have dash up as much as possible to you can either dash in or take risky peeks

since you bought the marshal you may as well use it here, they didnt plant the bomb last round so its very unlikely most of them have armor, i know you get flashed here anyway but its not the teammates that we care about its our own performance here in the woohoojin discord

dont right click with the classic, maybe that works in like episode 2, but since its nerf that will never hit

primed dash too early, you are trying to play like how jett plays in the beta, its not worth to prep dash this early unless you have an insane read on where they are going or are gonna do like an omen flash + jett dash combo or something

thats a bad habit i think i get from playing reyna, on reyna i could get the kill first, not the same on jett

you prime dash early again but you get lucky and they are pushing into you

i can tell you are a reyna player here cuz you prime dash and dont even dash cuz you think you have to kill them first

I would also be buying an op this round, your money is so good just give your gun to a teammate and buy an op

you should be holding wider here since you are in an off angle, theres no fucking universe where this guy clears you THERE

when im in an angle like this im trying to look at the red while i put my crosshair on the blue

so you are focused on when the color changes and then you can just click as they run into your crosshair

we also know that they are on an economic disadvantage round so i would just run away after missing that shot to avoid losing a 50 and just play with my team

you are shift walking while holding W here when you could get swung tiles and laid out

one thing i notice is that you are very patient with your knives, dont feel bad about just hitting someone 3 times in the body and getting out of there

jett knives take away like everything you know about this game

I like to go in the range and practice hitting jett knives while moving around like a psycho

your movement is lazy a lot but your raw aim seems alright you have straight lines moving from target to target and you try to be very precise

I think worrying too much about mechanics is the downfall of all duelist mains tho lol

true. my aim is second nature, movement isnt, and i havent really had the desire to practice it because people say its lazy but its decent enough to win my fights

well as you said in the vod your lobbies are gonna get more and more difficult, and as time goes on, these weaknesses will show themselves eventually, and good movement also means good crosshair placement which basically means good aim

I think you do a decent job on keeping head height, sometimes a little too low at like high chest level, but mostly its just where you decide to place your crosshair

crosshair placement is not just head height, its head height at where the enemies are most likely to peek you

its one of the harder things in valorant since theres no formula for it all the time, and sometimes they are just freaks and do something you arent ready for

your crosshair this round was basically perfect head height just this guy is a maniac and super wide swings you so you have to flick to his head

you say "my aim is so bad" in this clip but it was so close only because during this fight you were bursting and then waiting for your accuracy to reset without moving between shots

i dont really like holding main like this tbh cuz its so common that someone jumps up on top and trades me out

Im not some heckin immortal or anything so i cant tell you like perfect advice or notes or anything, just my opinion on the game, maybe theres something i missed or completely got wrong but I enjoy reviewing these games from the community
