Still learning to get quicker and more consistent with pre-round strats and I was a bit more solo this game than usual, but it's (unfortunately) fairly representative of my average games.

@carmine basin here's my most recent game, you were curious to take a look. Any feedback is appreciated
have you gotten this stuff down pat @zealous rune ?
I'm trying my best, I haven't watched this new one yet and proofed it on those fronts tho
fwiw I specifically uploaded this one today because Ryu asked for one, would have waited a bit longer otherwise
how are the comms in the VOD my boy
I missed some util here and there, but I've been pretty good with calling it most times
my strat calls need to be quicker and more consistent
sometimes I still forget to call pushes asap if they're putting immediate pressure on me, but shouldn't happen often I think
defensive coordination I still struggle the most with I think, but there's a few good rounds in there
sounds like you know what you need to improve on
too many things
not your notes, just other things I also need to improve on another time
- Utility must have a purpose
- That purpose must be communicated to the team```
```Strat calls:
- Strat call must begin in the first 5 seconds of the buy phase```
```Call-outs:
- Everything you see/hear should be communicated
- Enemy utility usage, footsteps, *lack of footsteps*, etc
- Can practice this by comming *everything* in a DM (actually use push to talk button)
- Swiftplay is also great for this bc it's lower stakes practice in comparison to ranked```
```Defensive coordination:
- Must actively contest space with a teammate for at least 5 rounds in the half
- Can practice getting comfortable with these calls in Swiftplay```
if you break down your issues you're halfway there
the other half is creating actionable steps to address those issues and executing upon those steps
above are some examples of steps you could take.
Strat call must begin in the first 5 seconds of the buy phase
this I am very aware of, but I struggle to come up with a plan this quickly and figure out how to communicate it
Must actively contest space with a teammate for at least 5 rounds in the half
my main issue on this one is getting my teammates to follow up my calls, they rarely want to push out on defense or even hold current space, even with my dog/flashes
this is more likely a communications issue on your part
practice in swiftplay. You'll begin to develop a playbook of sorts
this is more likely a communications issue on your part
that's definitely part of it, but I still get "don't push, just hold" responses way more frequent than you'd think in asc
especially if a call last round led to a round loss, but even before then
I was ascendant not too long ago, I understand your elo
and I gotta say man
it's not as frequent as you think it is
I'm going to watch the VOD tmrw and see wsg
ngl I wish I was in NA because the co-operation over there is way better according to every stream etc. I've ever seen
it's not an issue in this vod, which is partially why I uploaded it
idk I'm not EU. Maybe that's the case, maybe it isn't
based off of what I've seen from watching pro soloQ from EU, it's fine...but that's pro soloQ
regardless of whatever the circumstances are, the only way for it to get even slightly better is by you increasing your communicative skill
yeah I know, I'm working on it 🫡
go get 'em tiger
