waiter waiter one spaghetti please
sorting items? what even is that
some sections of my base i just designed idk if its good but i fw it

babys first sulphuric acid
Highly recommend gregtech drums for storage of liquids it's fire for batch crafting
i cant figure out how 2 remove the liquid from the drum
like okay buckets
but i need pipes
You can open a machine interface and pick up the drum and then click it onto a fluid slot and it'll fill up the machine
oooooo
i see
If you want it to pull automatically you can put it on one of the sides of a Greg tech machine and then put a pump on the machine, use a screwdriver to set it to import and it will pull from whatever drum / machine is connected to that side
I use steel drums and they hold 64 buckets
thats a good shout
ill keep ts in mind tysm
So say I'm trying to make red alloy cable for circus or copper cable, instead of 1 rubber plate > 1 cable it's 0.5 rubber plate > one cable using the extractor and then the assembler recipe with one of the rubber variants
So I just have a full 64000 mb drum of liquid rubber that I put on top of the machine when I need to make cables :3
extremely based and i will be stealing this idea
And that way I don't have to keep filling it when it goes through the 8000 mb buffer in the machine
Mhm ofc
I like your base layout btw it's cool
I'm just on a cobblestone pad in the void 😠I don't know how to build for factory games lol idk how much space I need
This is my first tech pack in general
I was unhappy with my void base so I restarted my world. This is after 6 hours of straight gregging with NO breaks 🤑
@blissful basin
Let's go
Also nitpick but 1 diamond / obsidian furnace is better than 4 golds imo it just chews through fuel
That's just my preference tho :3
oh yeah def i just got lazy and didnt upgrade
but im gonna upgrade all those 4 golds to diamonds
messing with true darkness settings
Evangelion FInally
EBF FInally
now to power it -_-
congrats
ty
passive aluminium
i played a lot today but didnt take screenshots
mainly building rooms to put machines in
why you not using laser io??
it can skip over 9 blocks
it would save on pipes
Stick to gt logistics, it's faster, cheaper, and easier to set up then laserio. Plus it gets you used to gt mechanics you'll need later in the pack
okay! i was wondering, sure, i used a lot of pipes there but like, pipes are so cheap come on now
also ill send some screenshots here tomorrow but ive been doing some building and producing phenol for phenolic circuit boards. currently planning the gallium arsenide line because i want to automate that shi as soon as i can
ill also probably end up automating LV circuits once i enter MV and unlock the LV circuit assembler, because crafting each little component by hand is so not okay
i need to expand my power grid if i wanna run all those processes...
Yeah plus ulv pumps and conveyors are free from lost cities loot.
mhm
i love ulv conveyors i used them for the aluminium dust production in the aluminium line
makes everything so neat
Agreed, I still use ulv stuff in ev to and from interfaces because I just don't need the throughput for passive stuff.
makes sense
yeah if u dont need the throughput why make something expensive
i get that
also are phytogenic insolators worth it at all for rubber or should i keep chopping down rubber trees manually until greenhouse?
I did manual until greenhouse
Phytos can be useful for things like flowers for dyes but you still need some form of fertiliser for them.
I just skipped then because of that and you make so much from the greenhouse without fertiliser
yeah i just use cyan dye from apatite when i need dye for my base decor (eg: xtones)
lucky me i love cyan
mhm
That's fair, you get to basically double it if you turn it into liquid dye and then into chemical dye balls
oooh ill look into it
thats very nice
Plus a lot of recipes Can use the liquid dye which also gives you double for the rest dye input. Eg liquid recipe gives 0.244b but most recipes use 0.144b
i see
interesting
a good cheap building block is korp from xtones
i use korp variant 6 everywhere in my base (again, ill send pics tmr)
because its literally just stone and gravel and i just steal that from the aluminium line
lol
It's basically free, I used laboratory blocks and then concrete for colour
niiice
Because sand and gravel are free
yeah
i have an idea of how i want my base to look like in the long term
its gonna be kinda like a space station (in the void dimension)
Nice! So very different to your ow base?
yeah since my ow base was a little town
i already moved to the void world
the aluminium like was too cramped in the ow
Understandable
the main body of the void base will be a 10 block tall cylinder of radius 30
so very big and flat
and this will house many rooms which will house different production lines
Well considering a lot of void bases are just big platforms that sounds like it'll be a lot more interesting than most
yeah lol
and then i wanna build something on top of the cylinder
like a biodome maybe
that would be cute
i know its a bit early for me to say this but i cant wait for angel ring
it will make building so easy lol
Honestly I've just stuck with jetpacks and a big battery
i didnt make a jetpack yet, i should prolly look into that as well
is the lv drill better than the diamond mining hammer?
Diamond drill lasts like 5 times longer but needs some way to charge it
wouldnt LV charger work?
thats what i use to charge the building gadget
That works, yeah
nice
I just liked to keep some batteries on me as well for the jetpack and tools, especially with how little power the early jetpacks hold
i dont think ive made a single battery in this run yetðŸ˜
which is a lil crazy
but just a lil
Nothing wrong with that, I didn't make a battery buffer until ev
saved. tysm
xD fair
i love spreadsheets sm
im hoping i get to make spreadsheets later on for stuff in my world
There are a bunch in the bot, if you check the bots channel you'll see them
Like what?
oh i meant i love making them but thats useful too
Oh fair
idk i always hear people saying they make spreadsheets for their gregtech stuff
in their worlds
steam ONLY? so no benzene?
i didnt even know people did that but i guess why not
And there are a few on similar runs currently
do u recommend i do that for my first time playing a gregtech packðŸ˜
Absolutely not hahaha
pffft fair
Steam got me to HV but then swapped to oil
i see
Oil is easy mode for power
i wanted to ask btw speaking of oil.. how do i use the pump? like to extract oil from liquid veins? idk how to
Single block pump on top of a oil spout
so that means i cant get oil in the void then
Fluid rigs
The void only has oil I believe,
If you shift right click the prospector you'll swap to fluid mode
Then you can see the fluid veins
water is free anyway lol
You can drain then with the fluid rigs multi which the steel one will go down to 20mb/s
And you can have as many of them as you want in a chunk, just once it's at 0% they'll all only give 20mb for the steel one
Yeah, fluid pump for in world fluid, fluid rigs for sub bedrock veins
i see
It's more for salt water and fluids on other planets
ah mhm
Yeah, just pulling from the void.
Also the miner single block will mine all the ores from a vein it's on top of and in range of. I used it for sulfur/sphalerite in the nether because I was sick of dealing with lava
oh okay good to know
sulphur is blaze prediction?
sodium persulfate (needs more distilleries)
my base as of now
as soon as i get greenhouse the rubber trees will go
In normal mode yes, that is one way to get it. But it's Soo much faster to empty a vein in the nether plus you need sphalerite for gallium anyway so you'll be mining those veins no matter what
Unless you buy the ores
That looks very different but in a good way!
thank u so much!
sodium persulfate + bauxite is a more efficient gallium production way
im doing the sphalerite way now but the sodium persulfate is here waiting for me
That's fair enough, I never did that route tbh, I'll probably look into it at some point if gallium is an issue.
cant really use sphalerite for gallium because you never get to centrifuge sphalerite
after earlygame
Ah right, haven't even thought about gallium since LV so that's good to know.
but yeah, you don't need that much gallium
i just like automating stuff lol but fairs
Yeah automating is awesome
I'm moreso saying that you can definitely get a few thousand of gallium early and dont run out until midgame, esp if you don't passive things
true
Why think about having strong enough infra when you could just have stuff already there when you need it?
real
btw whats the diff between passive and ondemand
In ae2 terms, on demand is a pattern for the item, passive is a storage bus on a container with the item already in thete
oh i see
In other terms, on passive runs in the background with no need for player interactions to produce, on demand requires a demand for it to be made
Take a look at anything in Angelia and hikaris base for max passive
tbh angelia and hikari's base is a pretty extreme example
im setting up hostile neural as its veryyy much required to produce the basic things for it(iron and sulphur) which will make it TRULY passive
yesss
cant wait for that as im always running out of iron
im using it for enderpearls(i have a cycle of preidtion matrix)
blaze rod
sulphur
iron
diamonds(i use nuismatic)
is numismatic better than oil
?
idk
im making 12k fe/t with one
i have 6
70k fe/t
waow
oil scales to like several million eu/t later on
without too much spamming
like this is 1.5 million per tick + most predecessing steps for it
(the red rectangles; generators are in middle right)
there are ppl pushing oil to hundreds dozens of millions per tick, though I wouldn't go that far, personally (since generators have to be scaled)
also you can do, like
%t jean66
just casually request several billions of power
ohhh
yeah thats not very much space at all
also i think im gonna remake my base after i unlock ae2
idk
i started using laser io for some minor things
(also that space goes towards giving you things for other processes too)
I've rebuilt like three times, definitely did not have to do that 😄
I think there's 2 major rebuild points: ae2, and IV where you get multiblocks for most things.
