#My new start on CABIN
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
you got this! (my ffxiv lalafell, Mide)
i havent used any of the blueprint things
yeah, i used them a few times in CAB
as you should
its always weird when people try to speedrun a modpack & games in general
i tried that for a little
didn't look pretty
I'm trying to hold back my anxiety and get things slowly
cuz i always want to get a big and beauty base
quickly
don't rush
there is no right or wrong way to work thru a modpack
my first smeltery separated from the starter ore processing
nice 🙂
I love it
my starter chapter 1 factory
cool 🙂
i want to change somethings and make some cool decoration
dragon statues are always cool
starter chapter 2, i really need the machines from this chapter to rebuild some parts of the chapter 1
and to complete the chapter 2 factory for 100% automation
looks good
thats typically how it goes
i did that for some of my chapter 1 stuff
i did leave the strainers in because i like the way they work
my chapter 1 is struggling with clay even with 4 strainers, so i'm gonna change for the crushing wheels cuz i really like them
and i really need the brass funnels and the steam power
yeah, i need to start upgrading my power sources
i notice that the water wheels it's very lagging with i use a lot of them, cuz i like to use the effective mod
and if i use 1 small steam power its equal to 31 water wheels
this small steam power is very usefull for me in another modpack
yep
it has 16k su
are straws in the pack? can you make it so blaze burners can have liquids pumped into them?
i personally didn't check anything off of chapter 1 until i got crushing wheels
oh yes that works
unfortunately no, i checked :(
it's been ruining my world
go for it
you're gonna need it
the screenshot above it's from the back on track modpack, they don't have this addon for pumping liquids into blaze burners 😦
boo!
but i got the steam power before chapter 2
hell yeah
ive also been playing the Back on Track pack
since i learned how to use steam i go rush to get them early
i'm playing back on track, astral and cabin recently
they recently updated astral, is it good?
yes cuz i was too lazy to get wools xd
DAMN
i started Astral & then stopped after awhile. i may return to it at some point
understandable
i currently have 10 packs installed & play about half of them 😛
yea i really like it, and gonna return soon cuz they updated some quests fix
i stopped on the moon part
lovely, i'll check it out again then
real, same here xd
(same)
a couple of the packs i built myself
i always add more mods to the modpacks for personal preference, so sometimes my gameplay is a little diferent from the most
CABiN
Monifactory
Astral
stellar
startech
and i'm looking at things like atm and back on track
as well as my own little assembly of mods
1 example is the journey map, i always switch to the xaeros
i myself am more of a purist, but if there's compat ey why not
honestly respectable
i quite often have issues with journeymap
i tried to use the journeymap, but after a few hours i switched
i much prefer jm cuz of the way it switches to underground mapping
really?
those are very good modpacks, i'm really enjoying how back on track is going
theres a big update coming that may warrant a new playthru
to jm? or wa?
to back on track
thats always the big limiter
i assume you're using a weighted ejector to put the tubes into the vault, yes?
i like what you did with putting braces on the cogwheels
and shafts
yeap, i like to use them
i really like to decorate them
create was the first mod that really get my attention, before that i played minecraft just for building
same here (not that i'm good at building)
when i saw the trailer and i discovered that create is a tech mod with aesthetic aspects i try to combine my builder skills with mods
approved
i think what makes create so different is that all the stuff that actually does stuff is out in the world
i like what you're doing (way more than what i'm doing-)
yes, it doesn't hide the processes in a metal box
exactly
you have a visual on what's going on outside without ui, as if you're actually interacting with it
aside from that you also have the sound design
(i don't think they added much, but used it in such a way that you can hear and visualise what is processing when)
makes it immersive imo
(rather than using sounds to show you what's happening in the box)
that's my starter house on my back on track server, i just need to make a power source for my house and some create decorations
very nice
that's why i love create
DAMN that's good
that's a good point
(misclick)
this was one of the things that make me play the mod
thank you!
interesting usage of the supports and fence gates to add depth to the roof
downside: prettiness comes at performance cost
(you won't have to hear my yapping soon i'll be heading to bed)
i'm excited for more machines or improvements you can come up with
i really like to use those details
thanks for the support!
Beautiful
clay production upgraded
i added the mechanical extruder cuz i really like the mod
instead of doing the vanilla way to produce cobblestone
aha, you're reducing stress load by using a millstone to mill the cobble down to gravel
yes?
yeap 🙂
why reduce the stress load when they're using steam power? 😛
after a while i want to sell those flints for coins
i was thinking, i guess i can use less itens if i just use crushing wheels
talking about steam power
i'm changing my chapter 1 factory
i could do somethings more simple, but i did that tank water just for decoration porpuse
i'm just using logs for now
i didn't knew about that
helpful to know if you end up building with lots of wood
i finished the steam power upgrade, now i just need to build the factory itself
very nice 🙂
i need to upgrade the power in my base, but im not sure how to work in the upgrades
that's the difficult part, i try to build my contraptions as linear and readable as possible
just like when i code
when i do this it is more easy to make changes and upgrades

i think part of it is trying to work in a defined space
when i saw him starting a series with the create mod i was so happy to see his builds
yeap
i want to reach his level of building skills
you'll get there eventually.. itll look awesome & recognizably your own style
(i keep misclicking jeez)
considering his detailing skills, i think that it'll be fine
yeah, details & decoration are things i need to work on
WOWEE that is SICK
thank you! 🙂
just changing the floor makes a huge difference
Definitely
finally i have 100% automated andesite machine
factory wip btw
i really need an netherite upgrade and diamond slot for my backpack
Let’s gooo
(Dang I need to do that too… first I’m gonna make a train line transporting the individual materials out ig)
i never touched the trains, i'm excited to deal with them
i have no idea how to menage trains
i have a couple ideas in my mind of how to use them for my base
this is becoming interesting
and i think that what i have in mind is gonna take more time than i was expecting
For me the problem lies in planning out where the rails go and actually building the trains
The logistics are relatively simple: tell the train where to go, at which conditions it needs to go and that’s about it
If you have multiple trains in a single track you just need to get the logistics of not crashing into each other down
Polartt has a few videos I think
Well
A 1 hour long one at least
Including demonstrations
I’m personally gonna use a monorail
this is good, i'm gonna what it when i get into the trains
What you have planned?
an andesite factory when i have a little workshop, andesite machine automated, andesite casing, cogs, shafts, ...
my decorations just take so much time, but it's worth it
that was what i had planned too
i wish you good luck
It's very simple yet, this is the beginning
your interior design is much better than anything i could come up with
thank you!
now the gathering of the materials for the main production line
thanks, i personally feel the interior is harder than exterior
for building and have ideas
same, you have much less space and flexibility to work with
it's worth it and very cheap
first time using display board, it looks so nice!
Damn
I'm getting addicted with these things
I have no idea what i should do in this last section
do you have sealed and reinforced mechanism production somewhere nearby?
ofc it's not going to be automatic assembly of the gold and copper machines
after all, it isn't easily renewable
but you could fit something in there
np
i like seeing what you're doing with the little shack
BRO MY REACTION MISCLICKS ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND-
sorry if my english it's not 100%, i'm brazilian btw
i was trying to figure out what mean "shack"
it's just a little house
i want to be fluent in english
can't get better without making mistakes and using it
thanks!
it's alright, english isn't my first language either
you're doing pretty well
thank you, my writing it's a little better than my speaking
relatable
finally i have a simple iron farm from chapter 2, also iron for me too
did you add the mechanical extruders mod?
yes
i think it makes less lag than using drills and vanilla cobble generation
i have a good PC, but eventually create cost lots of performance
well we also have igneous extruders when you get igneous mechanisms figured out
they're also upgradable
i personally rushed that a little
igneous extruders work exactly the same as these mechanical extruders
(stroke)
except i don't think that mechanical extruders share the same recipes as igneous ones
you should keep using these for now until you can upgrade to igneous extruders
the igneous variant also does not consume any power
(no rotational input required, no dynamos required)
it looks great this extruder, i'm gonna change to the thermal series later on
yes
these look fine for now
but you're gonna need the igneous one for the obsidian farm if you want to save some effort
(reinforced mechanism)
Ok this is gonna be huge
first time ever building a factory itself, i'm more comfortable building medieval builds
i love complementary shaders, my favorite so far
juicy
the base structure, now i have do texture and shadows and put the details
i'm thinking about functional door i guess
i love it
the monotone palette of the actual factory makes for a neat contrast to the workshop
it has a looming presence over the cozy workshop
yeap, thank you!
the factory is expanding day by day!
\o/
yes.
real.
yea i really like using them to mark off stuff that can kill u if touched
I'm gonna return maybe today to continue the progress
I'm playing a little of atm10 for a break
Lovely
Many of my deaths have come from crushing wheels and saws
Perhaps I should mark them
Maybe even cover them in hazard blocks lol
i use slabs
i mean yeah but that's boring
yeah, my factories dont exactly look factory like
I want to say “neither do mine” but I haven’t REALLY made any factories
